My dad would visit RR for a Stag draft before he passed away. I would go with him if I was over to see him. I drop in there once in a while when I get over to Waterloo. Of course...I get a Stag on draft. Great memories. Great little place in a wonderful small town. Here's to you dad!
When I picture a "bar" in my American mind Randy's RR bar is probably a spitting image of that imagination. No food, just booze. The beer is cheap and cold, and generally speaking there is a pretty young crowd even though it doesn't have all the pizzazz of more modern establishments. The bathroom is tiny without a lock and no sink to wash your hands so that kinda sucks. Other than that if you're looking for a simple classic place to have a brew Randy's is a pretty good choice.

One of the BEST hometown bars in the Loo.. prices are affordable..can still get hammered on a $20..coffee is just 50 cents, early a.m.. the mixologist is friendly & accommodating .. lotto tickets, scratchers, & gaming.. Randys RR is a nice spot!!
