“Great wings, awesome crispy fries! We're hooked! This time, we branched out and tried the coleslaw. The coleslaw lacked depth of flavor and seasoning beyond the vinegar. It really needed a balance of sweetness and saltiness to balance the vinegar. I would ask for a retry before I reduced the stars. The main entrees and fries are amazing. Sides should be too...”

“When I used to live in West Chicago a couple of years ago, my fiancé now husband and I used to go there all the time and his Uncle Mike. I recommend this place 100%, the drinks are good, the bartenders are friendly, and the Viper Burger was our favorite. Alan is an awesome guy with a great sense of humor. The atmosphere is chill, welcoming and you'll have a great time. When I say to stop by The Bunker, I mean it lol 😃. Whenever we are in town again, we are definitely going to try stopping by. 😌✨”

“Not only have I loved Hawthornes from when I was a kid growing up in West Chicago! It was the PERFECT place to have my wedding. Lou, Heidi and Kelly did fantastic and helped make my dream come alive! Every question I had they answered and were able to accommodate so much! Heidi was in CONSTANT communication with me and was able to give advice and help me through the whole process. Her suggestions were so helpful and she helped during the ceremony and reception. I could not have done it without them. This place treats you like family and has amazing service! When my husband and I went to pick up our things the next morning we were planning on taking 2 trips and Lou let us borrow his truck that is how amazing and friendly they are! WE LOVE YOU HAWTHORNES! Thanks for making our wedding the best day of our lives(: not to mention EVERY guest couldn’t stop talking about how fun the venue was and there was something for everyone to do, wiffleball, volleyball, giant beer pong, bags, dancing, and more! Everyone was able to have fun the whole time!”

“Great bar and great food. The wings are very good, wet or dry, there are a lot of options, I usually go with the Cajun dry rub.. Bingo is Wednesday night and a lot of fun, plus the wings are half off that day. Burgers are excellent. Jackie is fun and is always lively. Good people there too. And some slots if you’re into that.”

“Great staff Monday through Friday. However, staff on Saturdays blows!!! Always opening late. I’m sitting here at the speaker as I type here. Says on this site that there open but I’ve been sitting here for nearly 10 mins with nothing. Get rid of the weekend staff!!!!!”

“I fell in love with the chile relleno tacos. Then I tried the home-made tamales, and realized they were outstanding! And when you're extra hungry, they do 2 styles of pork chops--with a verde sauce, and with a red sauce. YUM! We love to go in nice weather, when we can sit outside. My husband usually gets the steak burrito, and he loves their mango margaritas. Tacos and margaritas are on sale on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Service is always friendly and efficient. Our favorite place for great Mexican food.”
