I don’t say this lightly, but Midway has one of the best smash burgers around. Perfectly crispy on the edges, juicy in the middle, and consistently great every time I’ve been there.

They’ve got a ton of beers on draft, there’s always a game on the TVs, and the atmosphere just feels like the neighborhood sports bar you actually want to hang out in.

One of the coolest things about the place is that the owner, Amir, is almost always there. He’s constantly walking around saying hi to guests, checking in on people, and making sure everyone is having a good time. That kind of hands-on ownership makes a huge difference, and you can tell he genuinely cares about the experience.

If you’re looking for a great burger, cold beer, and a place to watch the game, Midway is definitely worth checking out. It’s one of those spots that’s easy to keep coming back to.“

And people were standing right at the edge of the booth and was extremely loud. Why they didn't put the party separated in the empty section by the bar would be more appropriate. It seems they were over the limit on the one side. So we asked to move to a booth that was empty. They said we couldn't move to that booth as it wasn't open. Needless to say we took our business elsewhere.“

“Yesterday I stopped at Reserve 22 in Glen Ellyn. I have been here before, and as always, the food was OUTSTANDING! I chose the chefs special for Thursday – FRIED CHICKEN. There aren’t too many places that make GOOD Fried Chicken these days, BUT I WAS PROVEN WRONG! Chef Tom’s Fried Chicken sounded like how my mom used to make it. When the plate arrived, I was greeted with some of the best chicken I have seen in, will… since my mother made it. There; in front of me, on top of a huge portion of REAL mashed potatoes were four pieces of golden-brown chicken (thigh, breast, wing, and leg) with gravy on the side and large portion of coleslaw. The first bite of Chef Tom’s chicken brought back a flood of childhood memories. If I didn’t know I was in a restaurant, I would have sworn I was sitting at my mom’s kitchen table on a Sunday afternoon. THIS WAS MY MOTHERS’ CHICKEN! Beautifully golden brown, that first crunch as you bit into the piping hot moist chicken. No lie, I had to just savor the moment. My search for the 2nd best chicken in the world (sorry, no one can beat moms’) was over. The potatoes, slaw and gravy were the Crème de la Crème of this meal! This whole meal reminded me of my childhood, Sundays after church and moms’ cooking. This is the BEST HOME COOKED MEAL YOU WILL FIND ANYWHERE! I did have to take a doggie bag home. But trust me, I enjoyed the rest of the chicken that night. I have had the opportunity to enjoy Chef Tom’s meals a few times. I have NEVER been disappointed – EVER! Of course, the service is outstanding, and the atmosphere is inviting and relaxing at Reserve 22. If you haven’t had the chance or opportunity to dine at Reserve 22 MAKE IT A MUST! You will put it on your list of places to return to – OFTEN. The Easter menu looked unbelievable too. If you are looking for a place to have Easter dinner, I HIGHLY recommend Reserve 22. The manager Kathy helped us navigate the menu for food allergies, and was super helpful.

The smashy melt on sourdough with tater cakes was tasty. They were essentially mashed potatoes in tater tot form.

I had a chopped salad and they were happy to switch out the blue cheese for feta.

The only downside was that our Cubs were losing the game.

And they were featured on screens throughout the restaurant.

But we enjoyed that our booth had a personal sized TV screen right there for us to enjoy.“

“We used to go here after Volleyball, but no longer. They close early because they’re losing so much business frankly because of bad management. Sectioned off gambling machine area. Just OK food.
Very nice outdoor patio with heaters. Separate room for private parties or simply more room with large doors that open up when needed.
Too bad they’re not doing well and now we all go to The Town close by.“

“Came in for the Cubs game and ended up staying through the Kentucky Derby — great call. Sat at the bar the entire time and the vibe was perfect for game day: sound on the Cubs at just the right volume, plenty of TVs, and a crowd that actually cared about the game.

Food was a home run across the board. Pulled pork waffle fries, buffalo chicken wrap, and the pulled pork tacos — all loaded with flavor. Hard to pick a favorite.

Staff was great too. One bartender and one server handling the floor and they were taking care of everyone. The only knock is that once the Derby crowd rolled in things got slammed and drinks took noticeably longer to come around — not really their fault with the staffing they had, just something to know if you're heading in for a busy event.

Overall a great experience and we'll absolutely be back.“
