Went to Mike's Tavern in West Peoria IL for lunch today. This is a small hole in the wall bar and grill. You first think of a two and a half garage that someone turned into a bar. You would be close . The owner is happy to tell you the history of the place.
I had their Tenderloin. Crispy crust, toasted and buttered bun. On the thin side of tenderloins but still thicker then most. Just comes with chopped onions and at least a dozen pickles. No lettuce or tomatoes. Husband...read full review

It features a decent outdoor patio and a very limited space inside, with just two tables and about six barstools. The service is friendly and efficient, often handled by one person who is the bartender, server, and cook all at once. The menu is simple but includes favorites like giant tenderloins, Spicy BPT sandwiches with spicy seasoned breading, homemade onion rings, a Double Cheeseburger, and Truffle Oil Fries.
