The food is excellent. The place was VERY busy so service was not as good as usual. We were there for our anniversary for the second year in a row. Last year we were offered a complementary desert and were kind of disappointed that it wasn't offered again. A little selfish on our part I guess.
A great restaurant for date night, girls night out or a guy's get together. The food is fabulous. You will thank me later. Just go.
Food was excellent as usual. We had a new server who was very friendly. However he needed more training. Timing was a bit off, dirty plates left on table too long etc. Good guy but needs more experience
Sat inside. Enjoyed items off of the happy hour menu and a lovely white burgundy. As always, did not disappoint.
The room is dated and definitely not a lively crowd! Good for special occasions, although several people there were locals and frequent diners. I had the escargot and the prawns - both good if you like garlic, but quite oily. The chef was very accommodating and made a dessert I wanted for my birthday, even thought it was not on the menu.
Trout was not fresh and texture was mealy and discolored. Waiter was kind enough to debone the Dover Sole add customers request Peach ice cream peach ice cream with caramel. Not that exciting.
Went for the happy hour menu. All portions were mini, but delicious. Onion soup was amazing and just enough. Beef dish delicious. We also ordered off the menu. Bread service. Broccolini and dessert. The server told me they had a peach cobbler, which I adore. I was pretty disappointed, very bland, no crumble topping and a tiny dollop of Gelato for 14.00. So two desserts were 30 bucks with tax. We would definitely return but skip the desserts.
The food was excellent as always, and Junior, our server, was friendly, attentive and informative about the history of the restaurant, the chef, and his family.
I was very impressed with the professional staff, the low key feel and, most importantly, the quality of the food! Outstanding, creative and well-served!
Excellent dining experience. Our waiter, Alfredo, was terrific and the food was delicious.

I recently celebrated my 50th birthday at Aboyer with my children. While the server was very kind and accommodating, the overall level of service fell short of expectations for a restaurant at this price point. There were only three tables occupied during our visit, yet we waited around 15 minutes before anyone approached our table. I ordered a glass of Pinot Noir, but was initially served the wrong wine. The server promptly corrected the mistake, which I appreciated, but unfortunately the wine I received tasted as if it had been open too long and was served at a warm room temperature, something I wouldn't expect at a place like Aboyer. As for the food: — The cheese puffs were amazing—a real highlight. — The salmon appetizer was very good. — The mussels were a bit too salty and overly acidic. — The salmon entrée, while cooked well, the purée was way too salty and too runny to be paired with the mashed potatoes on the plate, so I had kind of a salty, runny mush. — The gnocchi, on the other hand, is a must-haves. Overall, it was a mixed experience. There were definite high points, especially in the food, but the service and attention to detail didn't quite match the standard I was expecting.
Food and Service were fine. Signature dishes were tasty and well presented. Disappointed that although we noted at the time of our booking and in the subsequent follow-up that we were celebrating our wedding anniversary that there was Zero acknowledgment of it. Another couple who were there at the same time did have their anniversary acknowledged with complimentary champagne and by the staff. It happens. BUT given that it was a Thurs evening and the place was not busy it was a mistake that should not have happened. Also the other patrons skew elderly so there is Zero energy in the restaurant and the ambiance was somewhat sterile and staid. No music, lighting was bright since it was a clean well lit dining room that met the needs of most patrons there but not quite a fine dining experience given the pricing.
Another wonderful evening with friends at Aboyer... From the Escargot and Smoked salmon appetizers to our Steak Frites for the entree and ending with sorbets for dessert. Already made additional reservations !!! And Benjamin's service was perfect and very attentive...
Took two friends who are new to Aboyer and they loved it, as my other friend and I have for years! We enjoyed some wine and appetizers during the Happy Hour time! Had some escargot, salmon and tuna tartare, and corn and truffle soup. All were wonderful. One friend decided to have the pate, which I recommended, and she thoroughly enjoyed it. We also loved the rainbow trout. The service was superb as usual and staff reached out to welcome us! Can't wait to return!
Always wonderful food with outstanding service. Staff is friendly and attentive, the outside area comfortable and inviting...an excellent neighborhood bistro.
