After 55 years coming back to Chicago, I was sad to find that Rogers Park and the Ashland locations were closed but found that Winnetka was open. What a joy we had and the taste hasn’t changed in 55 years. The food was still fresh. Delicious. I was looking for Stephan, but he was nowhere to be found. Mrs. Nemo, you got the goods mam. Stephen, I was looking for you I haven’t seen you since before I open Frankie Jay’s on Broadway.
Sure do miss having them in Rogers Park. Home of the original. Was really good to see familiar face from the original store. Just like before when they were in Rogers Park I will stop in when I'm in

I biked from Rodgers Park just to get my favorite sandwich, the Balboa. I love this place and the owner is super friendly. Service is fast and the taste is some of the best in the city. I always pick up a bottle of their secret sauce when I am here too it goes great on everything. Try the new lentil soup ?
