Tala Coffee Roasters is a nice coffee/study joint. The espresso is good, and there are plenty of unique drink options to choose from. The staff is friendly and welcoming, which adds to the great atmosphere.

The seating is ample, with a nice outdoor space that's perfect for relaxing. It’s a great place to stop and chill for a bit. It would be nice if they were open later to enjoy more of that cozy vibe.

House roasted beans available to purchase in the store. Baristas made 3 delicious lattes for us.
Other locations in Highwood and Libertyville. Try them all. You won't be disappointed.

Amazing coffee! I haven't tried their pastries, but the mocha they make is to die for. I will always elect Tala over Starbucks. They charge 5 bucks for a 16-ounce iced coffee; it's smooth and rich, not overly insanely sweet like Starbucks, and it costs 2 to 3 bucks less. The interior is modern and always filled, and they keep it pretty clean with outdoor seating as well. The only and I mean only negative I can even think of is parking, which is due to the establishment being so frequented and popular. If you are ever in the area, I highly recommend giving Tala a try. You won't be disappointed.

Very aesthetic modern coffee shop. The coffees were a little expensive, but they put a lot of care into their food and drink, so I think it’s worth it. After all, it’s important to support local businesses. Recommend their cold brew options. Wish there was a little more seating, but was more than enough for my visit on a Sunday morning.
