The lack of beef was covered up with lettuce and triple helping of sour cream. I left hungry. We usually stay for more than 1 drink, but I had to get out of there due to a very miserable child screaming for its mother to pay attention to her. Just an overall unpleasant experience.“

Today - based on the owner's recommendation - we started with a cupl of their meat and veggie soup that did not make it on the official menu - sorry missed a photo of it - delish! 😍 Pork, chicken and beef in a savory broth chock full of veggies - carrots, celery, onion 🤤 followed that with the egg salad appetizer, one of our absolute favs 🤩 4 toasted rounds of bread with their excellent egg salad 👍 then we tried the new potato pancakes entree for the first time, which came topped with assorted grilled veggies, plus toast, eggs and hollandaise sauce.. we got the eggs scrambled, rye toast buttered, sauce on the side, and requested a side of sour cream. YUM 😋 ended up with the vanilla cake with vanilla frosting - sorry to miss a photo of that too. Awesome! Service was timely, water glasses attentively refilled, as was the coffee too. $31 Note: it was one order of each item as we always split 🤯 We also got 2 bloody Marys and 2 mimosas, plus a Bailey's, kahlua and amaretto mix to add to our coffee as a nightcap from Old Bridge Tavern next door $48 Left with no leftovers and completely satisfied, happy and full.“

“We discovered Ethereal on a recent visit to Woodstock, Illinois. Located just off the square, this is gem. The first day, Mr. Bee ordered the Pecan Pie Latte a seasonal drink. Not a coffee drinker, it sounded delicious and I took a sip, then another and another. It tasted just like pecan pie and the coffee was actual quite good, it was smooth and not bitter. If I lived in town I think I could get used to drinking coffee it was that good. When I spotted a Pumpkin Chai, I jumped on it. I am a pumpkin junkie. I ordered this one iced. It was so good. The pumpkin blended seamlessly with the chai spices and it quickly became a favorite. Wish I could find them at home.\n\nThe next morning we stopped in to grab drinks before heading out on a day trip. Mr. Bee went with a regular coffee which was again smooth and not bitter. Such a creature of habit when I find a favorite, I ordered the Pumpkin Chai, but this time hot. It was delicious. We grabbed a croissant to take with us, and it was crunchy and creamy on the inside. “Have been here a handful of times over the years. Recently went back and had the savory crepe for breakfast. It was so good I'm craving it again and that's saying a lot because Syrup has one that doesn't even compare.

Also, it was surprisingly not crammed on a Saturday morning and the service was very attentive with everyone helping each other out. As a former server, I look for that chemistry in waitstaff.“

“Local resident here and this place does have great food, the restaurant is a tad dated being the old Pizza Hut but none the less it is clean and service is typically very good. My only problem with this place is the pricing; in my honest opinion it is more expensive than most Mexican restaurants. For 5 tacos and a 1 torta sandwich came out to $31 plus tax for take out! In most places it’s about $20 ish. We don’t go as often as we’d like due to the pricing here but I get it, it’s a cost of business and it is what it is. I do feel they should be given a try by everyone though and again the food is very good, it is just on the pricier side for what it is.“

“The Breakers was my mother's favorite place to go out to eat. I took her to The Breakers many times. We always enjoyed any of the many menu items that were available. Elizabeth Landers was her name, and I am sure you are familiar with her son Edward. The service was always top notch.She liked a Brandy Ice for desert!“

“I ordered a Steak Fajita dinner, and it was one of the best meals I’ve tasted in a long time. Their hot sauce is very good; it’s not so hot that it would burn your throat.

MAY 2020 UPDATE: With the reopening after the COVID-19 shutdown, they started skimping on the meat for the Steak Fajitas; the portions of steak are now much smaller and they are compensating by adding more vegetables. Yet the price is still the same.

“I’m not typically one to issue 5 star reviews. However, Buddy’z was on their A game on the night of 10/16/2025 and helped the wife and I celebrate our anniversary with two very tasty pizzas. We ordered a deep dish and a thin crust, both sausage, for delivery. Both pizzas were fantastic, had plenty of toppings, great taste, and they arrived quickly, despite having ordered a deep dish. It was actually a little nostalgic calling up a pizza place and placing an order. Not like these corporate pizza places that want everything done online via some Terminator on judgement day taking your order. Better yet? The woman who answered the phone knew what she was doing. I didn’t get the person on day 2 that was left alone on her own to hopefully survive.

I worked food service for almost 20 years in pizza so I know that everything just clicked last night. Now the only question that remains is consistency! Keep it up! We will see!

It all just gelled and it helped our anniversary be a great one.

Rewards program totally sucks. In September, I tried to load 3 receipts. They showed already loaded. My account did not show the receipts loaded.
So who loaded them?

“Went here for the first time service was exceptional. They let us know today was mothers day in mexico which I loved it doesnt change anything but it was cute that they mentioned it to us. They stopped us on our way out to give me and my friend roses for mothers day. They were quick and on top of everything, very attentive. Two mom with two little ones was a challenge but they made us feel very welcome. The enchiladas were great 9.5/10 the quesabirria was ok 6.5/10 not my favorite I couldve order soemthing else but I was happy enough. Absolutely would go back again.“

Lukewarm at best. 2. I skipped several dishes because I had no idea what they were. Signage very poor. The staff was very friendly and I will definately try it again.
