“First time trying this place yesterday. It was excellent! I ordered a gyros dinner to go, and an order or fried mushrooms. The dinner came with a Greek salad, which was delicious. The gyro dinner had an abundance of meat and quite a bit of fries, with tomatoes and red onion. It was outstanding! The sauce for the gyro is made in-house and is very good! I did order and extra pita (the dinner comes with 1) and I'm glad I did, because there was just way too much meat for 1 pita! Overall, it was great! The staff, I think it was the owner, was very friendly and nice. I'll definitely be back!“

“They are fast and friendly with a large selection, from hamburgers & hot dogs to wings to pizza puffs and gyros. They are pretty reasonably priced for the amount of food you get. There are a few seats if you want to dine in at the even though the place is rather narrow. I have been going to Tommy's (Crystal Lake, they have several locations) for years and never disappointed. They even have "daily specials" to help save money, which is always a plus ( I like the two hot dogs, fries and drink special) it fills you up. Highly recommend this eatery.

The atmosphere is really bad. Bathroom is barely in working order and there are signs everywhere that just scream cheapness. Only one refill, take only what your need not more, 3.5% check increase if you use card. All these things aren't crazy but combined it just comes off as cheap.“

However the guys working at Kong Dog are very friendly and efficient and they were happy to answer questions and make suggestions. The manager-looking-guy was working so hard to make sure everything was running smoothly. He cared not just about their food but also the bathroom and everything. Thanks to him and other staff, the floor and tables were all clean and we were able to spend a very good time here.
