“I absolutely love this place. The portions are big and the flavor is even bigger. If your looking for amazing food with good pricing and large portions this is your spot. The only thing I can slightly complain about is service and the fact the waiter wasn't very happy and clearly expressed her emotional displeasure. I understand there was probably a personal reason behind this and everyone has bad days so im not going to hold that against her. The food the quality and basically everything else was so amazing I would still give this place a 10 star review even if it had the worst service ever.“

“We dined at Topaz in August 2024 and had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. We were seated in a comfortable booth. A special mention goes to our server, Sasa, who was incredibly attentive and provided great suggestions. He even surprised us with complimentary limoncellos, which were absolutely delicious. For appetizers, we had the grilled octopus and hummus—both prepared to perfection and bursting with flavor. For the main course, we chose the Dover sole and Amish chicken. These dishes were exceptional and stood out as some of the best we've ever had. The potatoes served with the sole were also a delightful surprise. Portions were generous, and the prices were quite reasonable considering the quality and quantity of the food. We highly recommend Topaz and will definitely be returning!“

“My husband Jack and I celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary tonight, and on a last minute whim he chose Bella Mia. From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of phenomenal, and I had to write this review immediately. The moment we walked in, we were greeted not only by the host and hostess, but also by several staff members and even guests at the bar. The atmosphere was warm, cozy, welcoming, and incredibly friendly. Pure class. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and perfectly accented with soft candlelight, making the evening feel special and intimate. We sat at the bar and were welcomed by Gina, the bartender, who was extremely attentive and genuinely kind, making us feel right at home. The food was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. The owner, Randy, came by to greet us and his personality was truly infectious. He had us laughing nonstop and made our night even more memorable. We also had the pleasure of sitting next to Marcy and Dick, regulars who have been coming since day one. Even though this was our very first visit, we felt like part of the Bella Mia family. Starting from the first day that we went to see The Elm we were treated with the upmost respect and professionalism. We had our ceremony in the Kensington room, and our reception in the Madison room. “We are fairly frequent diners to the Phoenix and always appreciate their weekly menu specials. This week was a pastrami sandwich on marbled rye with a whole grain mustard - and it did not disappoint! We also shared the grilled artichokes appetizer (always delish!) and the creamy cauliflower soup. Our server was fabulous and attentive as well. We will be back again soon!“

The bathroom needs to be gutted. It’s terrible. I got water all over my self from something leaking. Looks like they have put 30 coats of paint over everything. It’s falling apart in there! The lighting in the bar was terrible. It literally feels like I’m in a dark basement. I would love to see this place get an over haul because it was great potential with the nice staff and great customers. Very very very welcoming!!“

“Visiting from out of state and was googling places nearby that we could eat after we landed, and stumbled upon this place. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was fun and unique, and our server was incredible. The music swaps between 80's, 2000's, all sorts of genres, which was greatly appreciated. “Good food with a verity of menu items to choose from. I had the fish toccos they were tasty. The order comes with 2 small toccos and a side. The portion sizes are a little on the small side. The wait staff was attentive and friendly. I would go back.“

“Very clean bar. Italian beef sandwich and Sicilian pizza was delicious. Bar staff seems to be very friendly. There is quite a lack of parking at this facility. There was only three people in the bar. Went on a Monday before 4th of July 2024.

I did hear they have karaoke on the weekend so hopefully I'll be able to check that out very soon.

If you have an opportunity I would definitely check out Cuzin's.“

It's still the best bang for your buck, however, today I has the ribeye med well Hashrowns with onion bell peppers and cheese with French toast and everything was a hit. “We were a pretty large group with tons of kids under 5. Everyone was so kind to us and our kiddos. The food was delish as were the drinks! We had a minor hiccup with in the group and management was MORE THAN gracious and kind in fixing / making up for it.“

“We recently visited for my bday on 5/31. The decor is beautiful and the service was stellar! Everyone was attentive and friendly. Our hibachi chef was amazing. He was extremely entertaining and super accommodating. He made our hibachi dinner experience the best we have ever had. The food was perfect and great portion sizes. My son even ordered Spider rolls and said they were amazing! My two teens and 1yr old enjoyed it immensely! Thank you all for the great celebration. We will be back for sure!!! “Did a staycation for NYE and had brunch at South Side Social. The mimosas weren't bad and the buffet was somewhat limited. I want to visit again because their lunch/dinner meal has some appeal. They provide the food for the bar and the pizza and Buffalo shrimp were very good! We had extra cheese on the pizza but it wasn't necessary as the toppings were hearty and tasty. No food pics this time but I do want to revisit.“

“I like this place-we came at 8:20 pm for a half hour or so of fun. Quick and simple. Ten minutes after arriving we were harassed about them closing at 8:50 pm. Website says 9. Literally reminded maybe ten times no exaggeration about them closing. We didn’t want to redeem tickets just play a few games. Very frustrating and ruined our short quick fun for my kid.“

We live in the city and think it goes toe to toe with the trending tavern style spots - Zarella, Pizzamici - honestly might even be better if it’s always as tasty as it was when we came in. Our server was very attentive as well. Please open a location in Chicago so we don’t have to drive so far!“
