“Attended the Mondavi wine tasting event at Topaz. The food paired beautifully with the wines. Our entire table agreed that the short rib and smoked butternut squash dish was simply delightful. We kicked off our meal with the Salmon Tartare, a light yet flavorful starter that left me wanting more. The Mahi Mahi, with its coconut curry, was rich and satisfying--I'm crossing my fingers that it becomes a permanent menu item. And the pappardelle with lamb ragu tasted like it was made fresh to order. Overall, it was a memorable dining experience, and I can't wait to return.“

“We enjoy Coopershawk Burr Ridge location and always check if our favorite server Pat is working. She served our dinner last night and when the Chicken Tortilla soup arrived just warm she quickly replaced it with piping hot soup and fresh crispy tortilla strips on top. Always best customer service. Our dinners were delicious and we appreciated the complimentary sparkling wine. Members since 2011 and always satisfied.“

Sip & Savor Cocktail & Eats Bar • $$
300 S Frontage Rd, Burr Ridge

“(Last visited 8/29/2022.) It's a a dreary Monday and after flying in from Connecticut while enduring flight delay after flight delay, I'm tired, but I'm hungry. The closest place to the hotel is INSIDE the hotel and that's Sip & Savor. Hotel food gets a bad rep, but I was ASSURED that the food here was good. So, I was given some recommendations and walked downstairs to experience what this place has to offer...Atmosphere/Appearance: It's a hotel bar. Lol. There's a huge bar rail that wraps around the actual bar so you can sit on 3 different sides. Plenty of seating. Directly behind the seats are tables where you can relax with a group of friends or your family. It was fairly quiet in there, but I can see it getting pretty loud if there's a big work group in here or something.Service: Kelly took excellent care of me. She was the only one working so she had her hands full, but she managed to check on everyone, take care of everyone and even have conversations with several folks. She was super friendly and most importantly, honest about the things on the menu when I asked her.Food: I started off with the Grilled Shrimp Tacos. They come in an order of 3 with a grilled lime and verde salsa on the side. These were honestly fantastic. The balance of cilantro-lime crema with crunchy cabbage and the subtle shrimp flavor worked together so well. For my entrée I opted for what was recommended to me, the BBQ Bacon Jack Burger. It's described as having Monterey jack cheese, caramelized onions, bacon and BBQ sauce. Lettuce, tomato and a pickle spear are served on the side. This burger was actually very, very delicious, but I was asked how I wanted it cooked. I said medium. The burger came out well-done. So that told me one of 2 things. Either someone is goofing off in the kitchen back there or someone is inexperienced. When I told Kelly about the blunder I heard someone else say, "that's the 3rd time that's happened tonight". So... that should be fixed. Quickly. Kelly offered to have it recooked, but I hate wasting food and I wanted to be on my way. So I enjoyed my overcooked dry burger as best that I could and moved on.Value: My tacos were $12.50 and my burger was $14.00. Not bad pricing at all for hotel food. Usually it can be hiked up a bit, just like mall food or airport food, but not here, great value. In conclusion, I would like to give this place a 3.6, but because I'm positive and generous, it rounds up to 4. If I do return to this place and my burger is overcooked, then I'll send it back because I do want to get what I want if I'm a paying customer. If you made it this far in the review, I appreciate you reading. “This is a wonderful restaurant. The food is good, service excellent, and atmosphere nice. I had dinner here and they had a new spring menu. My only complaint is that the food menu is a little limited; I would have expected more options. I had the salmon, which was very good, and paired with an appetizer of the crab cake. Finally, the wine selection is more than sufficient.Parking: Parking is not an issue: plenty of space and easy to find.“

“The first thing that I noticed about Amerikas was the super lively and bright ambiance. I went I on a Saturday night with my wife, so I wasn't surprised by all of the people dining and having a good time, and as I ate my dinner I definitely learned why. The decor is bright and fun. The walls are lined by mutuals, mostly yellow, with big splashes of color. I liked how then kept the lights on to keep the atmosphere bright and fun. The food was delicious too. My wife and ordered the pulpo, barbacoa, tacos (shrimp and pork shoulder), tostada de pescado, ceviche and the dragon fruit cheesecake for dessert. I enjoyed all of the dishes, my favorites were the barbacoa and the pulpo. The barbacoa was super flavorful and fell right off the bone, no knife was need. The pulpo was cooked to perfection and was tender and delicious. The risk with pulpo is that it can be chewy and tough, definitely not the case here. One note, the tostada for the tostada de pescado seem a bit too dry, but the flavor of fresh seafood made up for it. If you want a fun show with your food, order the ceviche, it comes out with a cool smoke effect. Overall, the service was fast and friendly, and the overall experience at the restaurant was enjoyable. While they don't have a parking lot, street parking is cheap (at least compared to Chicago) and plentiful. Amerikas is a must visit in Oak Park.“

“The highlight of my dining experience was, without a doubt, the Barramundi. This dish is a testament to the chef's artistry and the kitchen's commitment to sourcing the freshest, most sustainable produce. The barramundi, a fish known for its buttery texture and delicate flavor, was cooked to perfection. Its skin was crisped to a golden hue, encasing the moist, flaky flesh within. It was served atop a bed of vibrant, seasonal vegetables, each bite a harmonious blend of earth and sea. Parker Restaurant is not just a place to eat; it's a destination for those who appreciate fine dining in a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. Whether you're a local resident or a visitor passing through, a meal at Parker promises not only to satisfy your hunger but to leave you with a lasting impression of culinary excellence.“
