The Sherman Inn Reviews
5/6/22 overnight—The customer service was the best! The manager was so friendly and accommodating. We were passing through town and stayed at hotel for first time and will definitely stay again if we are in neighborhood. Food was also excellent and there was a band the night we stayed. Overall-great place and highly recommend!!
Wonderful hotel, would recommend to anyone!
Beautiful restored historic hotel in the heart of manicured downtown Batesville. We were so happy with our stay here! Tim was great to work with, and since we arrived late, was careful to make sure we were welcomed when we arrived and showed us to our room. Such a pretty place. So glad it was open and had space for us. We had three people and there was a room that was very comfortable, with a second bedroom for our son. Will definitely consider staying here again the next time...read full review

The Sherman Inn offers large, clean, and pleasant rooms in a quirky, 173-year-old building. There is no lift to the second floor, but the rooms are unique and feature 16' ceilings, showcasing a massive renovation that has made them comfortable. The staff is friendly, with a sweet German owner who appreciates direct bookings over third-party sites. The location is in downtown Batesville, which has a charming German feel, rather than near the highway, making it worth the extra drive. Although the attached restaurant is closed and there are no hot breakfast options, guests have enjoyed the cleanliness and comfort of their stay. The night concierge was delightful and helpful. Overall, it is a clean, quiet, and recommended place to stay in Batesville, with good water pressure and a tall bathroom sink that some guests appreciated.
