“Lunch in B-town - I’ve always desired to try a cook at your own table restaurant and today is the day. “Mr. Hot Pot” did not disappoint. I ordered chicken, broccoli, corn on cob, potato noodles, bok choy, and Lotus root.
I made my own dipping sauce and I chose Leg bone broth as my “base”
Lots of flavor profiles dancing round on my plate and stomach.
A very unique Foodie experience for sure.
Check them out when you’re in town you won’t be disappointed.
I was taken back by the 18% automatic 18% gratuity- I haven’t seen that before.“

“Update 10/2024:

My husband and I have eaten both carry-out and inside on more than one occasion since my last update and our experience has so much better. I wanted to be sure and update my review and rating. I would recommend eating here. We get the hibachi when we go. We don't eat in the hibachi side since it's just the two of us. But the hibachi still comes out hot and fresh. The staff is friendly and the service has been great. The portions are good sized, enough that we end up bringing home leftovers. So glad we didn't write this place off completely.

Update 9/6/18:
My husband and I decided to give Domo another try as we really enjoyed their food prior to the poor experience in February 2018.
To update, our experience was better ordering on the phone. They do have a block on their line that prohibits calls from private/blocked callers, so I had to unblock my number and call in. The call did go to their answering machine and I hung up. I was ready to forget it at this point, but to my surprise my phone rang and it was Domo saying they missed my call. I placed my order and we picked up our food.

The food was very good and we plan to return.

I wanted to update my review as the experience was better.

February 2018
Have ordered take out from here in the past without issue but it had been a long time. Tried to order over the phone about a week ago and the first 3 calls I made I got their answering machine. Finally on the last call in someone picked up, a female, and said something very quickly to me before hanging up on me. All I could understand was something about her being busy, to leave her alone and not to call back. Now to be honest I think that conversation was directed at someone else as I don't think I was who she thought I was or at least I hope not. My number shows up private on caller ID so I am assuming she has been having problems with someone and thought I was that person. However, it does not change my review or opinion of my experience. I was unable to order food as a result. I was blown away by her attitude. I understand people have problems in their lives but I called a listed number on Domo's Facebook page to reach the restaurant and that is the treatment I get. My husband and I really wanted to order hibachi. I guess we will be ordering from somewhere else too in the future. Sorry Domo, but whoever you had working February 24th cost you our business.“

“Service was exceptional, the wait staff was especially kind and the food was served quickly. The bento box could have a bit more in it but for the price it was filling. The sushi was delicious although the spicy sauce was not spicy at all. Lastly I wish I ordered some Korean dishes there instead since I believe it was Korean owned but hopefully if we're in the area again I'd love to try those dishes over the sushi.“

“The waitress was friendly, restaurant is spacious and clean, the food is fresh, excellent, and totally out of this world to die for! One of the best places I have ever eaten and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes Japanese food. I give them not only 5.0 stars, I give them 10.0 stars!“

“Food is always good, teriyaki chicken probably a very a palatable American take on it but it’s so crispy and delicious and i miss the stuff, hopefully will open back up soon. Seems like people think it’s burnt, it is after the bar food so don’t try to get your normal Japanese Chinese fare here. It WILL satisfy if you need that salty“

“Thought I’d stop in to grab some food for my partner and I. Was blown away by both the service and the quality of the food. The crab rangoon and tonkatsu are the BEST in town, and the teriyaki chicken was well worth the price. Definitely will be adding Mr. Tokyo to my rotation of restaurants I love to eat at here in BTown!“

“Everything was great. We had three employees who were checking on us. The owner came at the end and asked how everything had been, if there was anything he could do to make our meal any better, and if he could get us anything. Wonderful service.“

“The service was very fast and friendly. I was intrigued by the Grilled Chicken roll because there is always less adventurous folks when it comes to sushi and it was much better then I was expecting. The Boiler California roll was very good and just the right amount of kick. The Crunchy Tuna Roll was excellent, the tuna was very fresh and the Maje sauce was great. Overall this is a great take out sushi option and I can’t wait to try some more from their menu.“
