Absolutely love the Trojan Horse! I’ve been eating gyros here since 1986! However, service in 2024 is horrible! Server is “overwhelmed” and rude at best!
Responding to the restaurant review - this was not DoorDash. You were not rushed for time and that’s absolutely false. I came in personally after putting an order in over 30 minutes later. There was no special requests and the entire order was trash. I posted one photo. I made not a single special request and I definitely didn’t ask for extra spinach or any sort of change to the menu. It’s called chicken pasta salad.
Still a disgrace of a restaurant. I also tried to contact you several times before posting a review and you did not answer. You had nobody in the restaurant but a single family leaving. Nobody tasted good. Inappropriate portions and quality. I maintain that this is the worst restaurant I’ve been to and I’ve been to 30 countries and dined at least once a day in each of them along with dining regularly my whole life. There’s absolutely no reason for you to suck this badly.

I like the food here especially the chicken gyro however the only delivery service they use is Door Dash. Currently Door Dash has this restaurant marked as closing at 5pm. I have called twice to tell the restaurant to see if they will fix the hours with Door Dash but the person I spoke to couldn’t seem to care less. Unfortunately I can’t pick as I don’t have a car so I guess can’t order from her again . Sad. Also very poor response to a customer calling over a delivery issue. If you don’t want to deal with Door Dash then get off their app. But staying with your hours effed up is disingenuous.

The falafel was a tasteless paste ball with lumps. The gyro was fine.

Absolutely wonderful. First time ever visiting, and I've genuinely never had such wonderful service in my entire life. The food was utterly delightful, and the atmosphere felt very cozy and comfortable. Will 100% be going back.

Are you kidding me? This is the "Super Gyro". Over $11 for something I could get at Sam's Club in a frozen kit and make 5 more! Severely disappointed. Needless to say, won't be back! (Pack of gum for scale!)

The gyro was really good, it's like $10 I think I didn't like the service though it felt like they didn't want us there and made me uncomfortable. Especially that lady with blonde hair

Maybe the best burger in town in terms of bang for buck… the bacon add-on was very generous and delicious.

I love this place, but the staff telling me how busy they are is annoying. Every time I come here, they're making excuses. Of course it's busy, you're a restaurant in downtown bloomington. Just take care of the customer. I'm editing my review from years ago in hopes this reaches someone. I'm still leaving it at five stars because the food quality is excellent.A must visit establishment when in Bloomington. Best Onion Rings in the entire world.

Every time I go there a server tells me how busy they are as an excuse for the bad/slow service to come. It's like they want to scare you away like Bevis at the drive through..."we're closed or something "

Gyros are really hot and tasty, and the service was quick. The brownie dessert was good to split and very tasty. Not too sweet, but very rich. Good stuff! A staple in Bloomington and one I make sure I get every time I visit.
