My time at michael’s uptown Café was wonderful very chill and elegant my food was so delicious and the crème brûlée to die for overall It’s an amazing restaurant to enjoy an amazing meal and chill with friends and family
This is my favorite restaurant in Bloomington. You feel classy eating here, but the big secret is it's not actually expensive (compare, for example, to Farm next door).
The waitstaff have things down to a science and are exceptionally attentive and helpful. There are always new daily and one-off specials to try. And the desserts are so delicious; my wife and I often drop in just to eat some sweets after eating dinner at home.

Uptown Cafe is a top choice for a night out or a favorite breakfast spot in Bloomington, offering high-end dishes like filet and NY strip steaks, crab cakes, and Louisiana hot pepper chicken. The atmosphere is pleasant and relaxing, and the service is consistently great and exceptional. The compound butter with house bread is a highlight. The cheesecake is a recommended dessert when available, and the Creme Brulee French Toast is also amazing. The menu includes excellent dishes like shrimp with rice and a perfectly seared tuna appetizer. The bar staff is helpful and quick, and the Bloody Mary's are really good.
