I loved this place when I was staying upstairs. Casual, airy, friendly staff.
Great open space for hanging out, studying, eating. It's really a beautiful space, and so is the lobby of the adjoining Graduate Hotel . I wish it had been here when I went to IU.
Poindexter is located inside of a hotel, but goes far beyond what a restaurant inside a hotel would be like! Most hotel restaurants are steakhouses, but this one is more suited for lunch!

Poindexter is a college-centered bar and coffee shop located inside the Hilton Graduate Hotel, primarily frequented by local students and visitors to the University of Indiana. The atmosphere has changed after a remodel; it used to have more comfortable seating options, but now features mainly high tops, making it often loud and less ideal for relaxing conversations unless one is wearing headphones. Despite that, it remains a decent place for studying and downtime, especially for those seeking a quiet environment, as there is no loud music, allowing for easy conversation.
