“My son married his beautiful wife at the Ritz! The staff was amazing, always attentive to all of our needs and I didn’t even expect them to be! They went above and beyond for sure! The staff is what makes this place so great!“

“A Cut Above provided the food for the rehearsal dinner prior to our son's wedding. We held the event at a private residence and had 52 guests. The food was very good, they easily accommodated dietary restrictions and allergies, and the servers did a good job. They arrived on time and there were plenty of staff present.

This is not a five-star review due to some communications issues surrounding the event space. When the owner (Amy) and her staff arrived, there was significant concern over the space available to prep and plate the food. (This is a 4,000 square foot residence, with a large, high-end open kitchen.) I thought I was providing the appropriate information when the event was booked (months in advance) and I even sent a photo of the kitchen a few days in advance.

Despite that, Amy was somewhat rude and obviously dissatisfied with the space available to her. We tried our best to accommodate her needs by allowing her to set up extra tables in a laundry room and a hallway to prep and plate. By the time the guests arrived, the space situation had been the topic of conversation for a couple of hours and I was stressed out about the whole thing. I think the situation could have been avoided if someone from A Cut Above had made a quick site visit, or had provided a description of their requirements, so we could have planned in advance.

I would use A Cut Above again, but only if I was holding an event in a commercial event space with a commercial kitchen. They just did not seem able to be flexible and adjust to the private residence situation.“

“All my daughter wanted for her wedding dinner was breakfast food! This is how I came across Indy Anna’s catering, and I’m so glad I did!Their communication up to the event was superb, and the food and service was absolutely fabulous and delicious. They even helped cut and serve the cake.My daughter was absolutely delighted-thank you for helping make this the wedding of my daughter’s dreams!“

“Ordered from their food truck for the 1st time. Had 3 meat meal with 2 sides for 27 bucks. Burnt ends, Rib tips, & brisket. Out of the 3 I enjoyed the brisket the best. Burnt ends were mostly fat. The rib tips were not that great. Portions for sides are very small. Had fries & Mac n cheese. Both were ok, served hot n fresh. The BBQ sauce was very good! Food over all lacks smoke flavor & has small portions for price point. I'd definitely give them another go next time if they visit again. Offered a bag for meal , no napkins, silverware, wipes or drink offer. 3 half stars.“

I didn't know how they would provide individual meals for our business luncheon and comply with our Covid precautions.MCL exceeded my expectations. “We held our October 2022 wedding ceremony and reception at Liter House and loved the experience! Drew and the whole event staff were helpful, kind, and easy to work with. We loved our brunch reception with delicious breakfast food and classic Sahm’s coffee cake. The event space is warm, inviting, and the right size to host lots of different types of weddings or gatherings. Also, the location is perfect - the Monon trail is a gorgeous place for pictures and features a lot of cool artwork/murals. I definitely recommend checking out Liter House for your event!“
