“This was my first visit to the Lemon Drop in Anderson. They were packed at 12:30 & several were waiting for a table. I sat at the counter and enjoyed the conversation of my fellow diner because he was funny. I ordered the dbl cheeseburger, french fries, and tea~ my meal was served hot, fresh, and delicious, and with a smile!

“Wanted to go there after seeing all the reviews. Went there not realizing that it wasn't open till 5pm. We were there about 1:00pm. My wife was standing outside and knocked on the door and the owner said that they don't open till 5pm. He said that he could make us something... He let us in, and the food was GREAT!! He opened early for us because we drove from Anderson just to come here. His whole attitude was welcoming and inviting, and he was glad to have us here.

Parking: Parking is kinda scarce but not their fault. Worth the short walk.“

“Today was my first visit. I was very impressed with the cleanliness, the service, and the quality of the food! And the pricing! I had a western omelette and pancakes with hashbrowns, and everything came out perfectly. I asked for the hashbrowns to be extra crispy, and they were! I asked for extra butter, and it arrived with the pancakes. My wife and I were short on time, and were in and out of the restaurant within 40 minutes! On a Sunday! I highly recommend this restaurant for breakfast.“

“Found the restaurant on the Indiana State Parks app. We stopped in after earning a state park pin at Mounds. The view is amazing and the food is even better! We recommend the Piggie Plate. It’s a hearty tenderloin on fries smothered in their award winning gravy. Come hungry the portions are man-sized.“

Thursday and Friday nights, they have a grouper dinner for $13. Everything on that plate was delicious. Everything going to other tables looked delicious. This is the kind of restaurant that we have all missed. This is a gem!

“if you like the Edinburgh brand of tenderloin pounded with an inch of its life with a two to one breading to pork ratio this is a five-star tenderloin. if you actually prefer to taste the pork then it's a four-star tenderloin still good and nicely seasoned. the grillef tenderloin was also handmade nicely seasoned bit on the dry side. I preferred the grilled my wife preferred the breaded. my mom got a Reuben which she enjoyed. a side of fresh fruit that was fresh not canned. fries are coated with something, flour? I don't know what. I don't like those but they were crispy“

Known for their statue of Paul Bunyan, this bar serves all the usual bears and has a fairly deep liquor shelf. Their food is out of this world. “It was overpriced hospital food, not hot!! I ordered the Pot Roast with potatoes & carrots, it was warm with a brown gravy that was overly salty. There was no potatoes & carrots. I ordered Mac n Cheese as a side, it was warm and gross. The 2nd side of greenbeans w/bacon was also warm but tasted the best of the whole plate! If I had known there was no potatoes & carrots as the menu says I would have ordered mashed as a side. The waiter who seated us wanted an answer about our drinks immediately as he rudely hovered over and wouldn’t let us look at the menu. It took a decade to get our bill and pay. I won’t go back!“

“This is the second time it has happen to me. Stopped in for two 3 piece fish dinners, was giving a number at the register and two cups for drinks. We set the number on the table ,which you could see it was just cleaned. Before we could get our drinks filled the dinners were on the table, nice hot ,and professionally cooked, and ready to eat. “Mady was our server for my daughter’s 11th birthday this evening and our experience was absolutely 10/10! Fast, friendly, hot food and Mady made sure we had everything we needed with a smile on her face 😊“

“We came here for dinner around 6:30. I didn't get the best picture but we ordered a drink, fries, onion rings, double garlic steak burger, a Frisco burger, extra sauces (ranch and Frisco).

It only took 5 minutes to get our order, which beats most fast food places I've been to recently. They made our order correctly, the dining area is CLEAN and properly stocked with the napkins, condiments and such. An employee was out cleaning and wiping the drinks area several times, it's as if the employees here actually care about the way they do their jobs. My pre-tip total was $20.70 for 2 people which happens to be about the same or cheaper than many other places around especially for food like this.
You can clearly see how they have kept costs down to offset the rising prices a bit by eliminating the cash register positions and adding the scanner on the fountain drinks. (If you haven't seen these yet, don't worry, someone will show you what to do)

This is a great experience and doesn't seem to deserve a 3.9 rating. It deserves a full parking lot. Employees from competitors should be coming here to see what it looks like when a job is done right. Well done 👏“
