“This is a fun little restaurant that seems very well loved by Anderson locals. We went at 2:30 and luckily found 2 stools together at the counter. Even at that time on a Monday afternoon, every seat was taken. The service was good and all the staff were extremely friendly. I am giving 4 stars for the food. I had a bowl of chili and a hamburger. DH had an onion burger and ff. The menu is somewhat limited, and the food was average. This place is really more about the history and uniqueness of the building than the food. We would most certainly return and try the tenderloin and a shake!“
“We had a big family surprise birthday gathering here December of 2021 & staff was so accommodating and nice:) Food was great. The whole event was very, very special. We had family from all over the USA and we all had a great time. Miss you JB!“
“The waitresses are always fantastic. My food is always wonderful. You get a lot of food for the price that you're paying. Everything seems to be really fresh I mean heck the pineapple on my plate was a fresh whole pineapple diced up! Will return again and again!Place is just really cramped unfortunately“
“My girlfriend and I were in the mood for a good hamburger. We ordered the Bacon Cheese Burger. I had French fries, She had the onion rings. The burgers were very good! It was one of the best the both of us have had in a while! We will definately be back!“
“I may have left a review before, but I went back again and had to leave another! Listen y’all that chicken fried steak skillet is so delicious! Everything is great about this place. Love the food, the prices, the portions, the service! My go to spot for “
“I personally really enjoyed my first experience here. After turning 21 a week ago, i'm new to the bar scene and was skeptical and intimidated by this very brash and roughneck kind of place. The bartender was amazing with helping me and my friend decide what to get and the drinks were awesome. It seems like everyone here knows everyone and is a regular, so i feel like a stranger in a new land but everyone is super friendly and welcoming. Overall, i enjoy this place and will definitely be back!“
“Love this place!☺️ Prices are reasonable and portions are great! Service has slowed (:30 minute wait after our food was ordered) Broccoli was ‘decayed’ but yet cooked (I’ve incurred this 3 times in the last 3 months!)??♀️ Gravy was congealed on my meat entree and the plate was simply heated up and returned.“
“A group of 6 friends met & ate @ Anderson Culver's. (Kind of centrally located for the group.) We met @ 11a and stayed & "talked/ visited" till about 3p. The food was good and three different employees came (@ different times) and offered any assistance needed. They each encouraged us all to fill out the surveys on each receipt. Each were very friendly. DAVID checked on us several time & even stopped a moment to thank one of our ladies for her service in the military. Manager Chris also stopped by & introduced himself.“
“We stopped in for dinner after coming from Fort Wayne, and we weren't disappointed. Our service was fantastic. I can remember the name of our server, but he was great. He had a Scooby Doo tattoo. He needs a raise if any management sees this. Highly recommend checking it out if you've never been.“
“The Food is great I wood. “Stopped in for breakfast before heading home from the Supercross race in Indianapolis. Service and food were awesome and food was prepared quickly. So glad we stopped here!Recommend: Texas bacon, egg & cheese melt. Had the hashbrowns covered. Can't go wrong with their waffles either.“
“It's a great grill that young lady runs in the back ,those fries are on time,I have tried a few of their tacos on Taco Tuesday and they are just awesome the people that serve there are really nice to bartenders end up people that work in the back it's it's nice and laid back in the daytime I liked it whenever I stop by there sometime I'll have me a Coke and fries or go play some music on the old music box it's not a lights camera action place it's just a place to relax and enjoy kind of a little Cheers ,people show respect and are friendly . Establishment is kept clean and the atmosphere is respectively entertaining.“
“Our group of 10 visited today and had such a good time we are going back next week. we are called The Lunch Bunch and go to a different place every Friday. Food was excellent and Jennifer and Tony were so welcoming. Thanks again!! Peggy Wigner“
“Went with my parents and brother for dinner. We got there around 5:30p on a Thursday. The bar was busy, but we were only the second table seated in the dining room. Dad ordered the salmon. Although I did not think this looked appealing when the plate was placed on the table, Dad did say it was good. My brother got the pork (chops or loins, I don't remember). He was pleasantly surprised at how large they were. Since he knew he was getting two with his dinner, he expected each to be roughly half the size he was served. He also thought they were especially good and tried to share his dinner. My Mom and I both got breaded tenderloin sandwiches with French fries, although Mom ordered hers plain (without lettuce, tomato, or mayo) and without a bun. We could tell our tenderloins were freshly fried, with crispy breading and a juicy, flavorful interior. The lettuce and tomato were fresh despite it being January, and pickles I added were cut thick and crunchy. The French fries were average. They were not as hot or crispy as I would've liked, but they were slightly spicy in a pleasant way I was not expecting. The girl who served us was pleasant and prompt. And the atmosphere was nice, but I think that's mostly because it was empty. I think if the dining room were full, it would be unpleasantly loud.Parking: There is a drive up to the door that is covered to allow people to get out of a car without getting rained on. But there is no valet parking. There was adequate parking the night I was there (in the winter), but this is also an event space, public golf course, and pool (although I think the pool is private/requires a membership). I imagine that parking could become difficult at other times of day, days of the year, and/or with events.Wheelchair accessibility: Not good, but passable. The parking lot is much lower than the door. Unless you drop off someone in a wheel chair at the door, they will have to push themselves up hill to the main door. There are a set of steps (5-8? I didn't count) from the entry to the level of the bar and dining room. There is a lift/elevator to bring people in a wheel chair from the entry level to the level of the dining room, but I don't consider this to be entirely friendly.“
“I having been coming to the Homestretch Steakhouse for many years with my wife, friends, groups, etc. The menu changes for 2024 are exceptional. Great food, races are exciting, and some fun in the casino afterwards. Highly recommend for both personal and business functions!“
“tried blaze Brew pub today. nice thick tenderloin with an Italian seasoning breadcrumb crust. a good solid tenderloin wavering between four and five stars as it was a bit dry. the grilled was also thick with good pork flavor little dry, little under seasoned. coleslaw is excellent and helped to fight the grease of the tenderloin snd tots.. tater tots not so good. they're very thin so all you get is crunch and grease no potato flavor. tried over 10 tenderloins in Anderson so far and though not at the top I'd say it's in the top five. unfortunately still using styrofoam for all their packaging so won't be back.“
“I could do without the irrelevant Bible verses on the sign, but the food is tasty. The fish was EXCELLENT the last time we were here; not-quite-TOO-hot of the fryer, tender and juicy. Staff are friendly and someone at the drive-through had a friendly doggie. :)“
“The original, nation-spanning, "For the seafood lover in you" chain remains a decent choice for a comfortable and flavorful in-house dining experience. However, the establishment is only as good as the people it hires. This restaurant is well-run, or at least it seemed so when I took a family member out to lunch.Their Cheddar Bay biscuits remain a guilty pleasure of mine when I go. And you pretty much get as many as you can cram in your pie hole. I opted for the all-you-can-eat clam chowder and salad. The chowder was okay. I found it required a fair amount of seasoning and could've used more clam meat. It ate a bit more like a potato soup, but I enjoyed it anyway. It doesn't stack up to places like Ivar's in Washington, but it's what we have. My guest had a reasonably priced lobster and steak combination at a discount due to Wednesdays specials. The flavors were excellent (it's a steak and a lobster, so...). The steak ran a bit rare, but they were happy anyway. If our visit is any indication, this restaurant is a fine one to visit if you're looking for mid-priced seafood options in a relaxed setting.Vegetarian options: I would look elsewhere as a vegan or vegetarian, but a pescatarian would be happy.Parking: Unless it's a crazy busy period, the attached parking lot should have ample space.Kid-friendliness: This is not really a kid restaurant, but a well-mannered child might enjoy itWheelchair accessibility: No issues with the wheelchair. Highly accessible.“
“They messed up my dad and my mom’s meal. My mom was supposed to have a 8 oz sirloin topped with mushroom and shrimp. They gave her a 8oz sirloin w a side of shrimp forgot the mushroom and gave her on her stake onions which she did want. She also had LOADED mash potato. Which they gave her normal mash potatoes. They took it to the back. Scraped the onions off and put cold cheese in the potatoes. Then my dad order a 8oz sirloin and got a 6th sirloin. Then forgot the French fries. Then the manger came out gave us the thing we needed was sweet nice and the server was amazing they took 35 dollars off the bill and gave us a free lova cake so we gave them 25 dollar tip……. Great place highly recommend“
“This is worth the drive!!! Every piece of meat was tender and so delicious! The broccoli was perfection. The baked beans were amazing. The cole slaw was very tasty. The corn was so buttery. The salad bar was clean. My friend said the rolls were so soft.“
“I invited my entire extended family to join me at this Texas Roadhouse to watch the full eclipse of the sun. We arrived an hour before this location opened to watch the solar event. An employee came out and handed out extra sunglasses for the event and this made this an extra special occasion. We all had an early dinner and great food and a magnificent time head by all. I strongly recommend coming to this location to eat for any variety of events.“
“Service was great, Peter was timely and answered questions before we asked. Food was just as great, had NY strip and wife had the crusted pork. Sides were mashed potatoes and Brussel sprouts. The desserts all homemade as well. Never had sugar cream cake, but it was delicious with blueberries. We will be back“
