“I love coming here in the morning to get coffee and a scone (lemon blueberry and cinnamon are favorites) or for lunch. Every soup, sandwich, and salad I have eaten have been excellent. I don't know where they get their tomatoes but they are some of the best I've ever eaten!“

“piccoli has evolved into a weekend college tradition for me and my friends. nestled into the corner of a strip mall, piccoli is truly one of bloomington’s few hidden gems. it’s always lovely to see the faces of will, tammy, and winnie who have greeted us like family this past year. will, the store manager, always makes the effort to go above and beyond for his customers, catching up with each familiar face. he truly fosters piccoli’s warm sense of community.

my forever favorite will always be the famous summer fruit tart and the raspberry hibiscus italian soda. the juicy blueberry tart and the from-the-garden style vegetarian lasagna also deserve honorable mention.

while piccoli may feature as a small and humble shop, it is undoubtedly well-loved with a returning company of kind and conversational elderly regulars. their items often sell out for good reason, so get them while they last! all worries aside- the menu is ever-changing, so there is always something new to try while old favorites return!

although i love that piccoli remains my special “secret place” for more reasons than just a weekend sweet treat, i want to see this business receive more recognition for its dedication to the highest quality ingredients and its unique, everything-from-scratch approach. stop by, and you’ll be able to taste the love and thought put into their food!“

“I ordered a Ruben and when it arrived the toast was black and burnt. I never complain so I said nothing and tried to eat the sandwich but the toast was very hard. After trying to eat it I just gave up not wanted to be a bad customer and make my two adult friends uncomfortable. I just paid the bill $70.+and gave the server Emily a $20. tip. My friend ordered one of her usuals but the sauce was not what she normally gets. We were told that the cooks sometimes use whatever is available and finally just sent out a replacement with NO sauce. She finally just gave up and ate whatever she ordered. The third friend her husband avoided the situation. We finally gave up and I paid the bill with my Sky Miles AMEX card total $90.+ We came into the restaurant probably around 7:30 or 8pm. Sorry for the bother but it bothered me I've lived here since 1972.“

“I got 3 of their crunchy gyros, some feta fries, and a large Mediterranean dip for my family and I while we were visiting Bloomington. We don't have a lot of Greek food up where we are, save for King Gyros, so this was a great treat. Everything was incredibly flavorful, the gyro meat was thick and tasty, and the dip lasted us several days. We will be coming again, if we're ever in town!“

“There are no words for the kindness that the girl had for us. We drove 55 min from Plainfield to this place just so we can have some authentic fried chicken and bubble tea. By the time we arrive, the chicken was sold out! With disappointment, we ordered our drink. While she was punching in the debit machine I mentioned, with a disappointing tone, that we drive all the way and there are no more chicken! Then something amazing happened. The girl came to us and asked us if we are willing to wait because she has tomorrow's chicken that she can dig into to fry some for us and it would be on them because we drove all the way here and she doesn't want us to leave disappointed. God bless America. Needless to say, it was a satisfied night. This place deserves a 5 star service. She went above and beyond to serve a customer in need. Thank you!“
