Not only was the food prepared with the utmost care, but the cost was so affordable it was not worth us cooking ourselves! We can’t say enough good things about the staff, as they are always friendly and courteous and go above and beyond! The chicken tenders, salad, cheese and fruit tray that we got for our family get together was perfect! And when we were all finished, there was nothing left! “We had the best experience! Came in on a whim while in town for our Anniversary. Our server Joc blew it out of the park with suggestions on drinks and food topped off with a nice little back story on the family history in distilling. The old fashioned was one of the best I have had at a restaurant. We had the calamari for an app and the extra spice from the clabrian chilli was an awesome touch. We shared the wedge salad which was an explosion of flavors, with a savory green goddess dressing and topped with fresh grape tomatoes a special type of blue cheese (I can't remember the name) The tuna my wife had had a perfect crust and was cooked to perfection (the best tuna she has ever had) I ordered the lamb which was out of this world perfectly seassoned and seared with fresh mint parsley and dill with a nice cool creamy sauce. We got to try a new dessert not on menu, a white and black cookie which pay's homage to the chef's home in new york. A fluffy cookie with a pop of lemon zest, topped with half white frosting and half chocolate served with a side car of their espresso martini made with their own whiskey for dipping. “Upon arrival, I was well greated and my table had a birthday card and decorations on it as they were made aware it was the reason for our reservation. It was a well thought out experience.

I just have to get right into the good news : litterally the best New York Strip Steak I have even eaten. I chose the black truffle butter to accompany the steak and it was just amazing. Cooked to perfection, seasoned perfectly.

I had burbon (mid range choice im not a millionnaire) and it was great discovering local burbon in the region of Kentucky. The waiter was really good at his job.

The chocolate desert you see in the pictures is made from scratch when you order it (it takes about 20 minutes to make once ordered) but it is worth it. the sauce that accompanies the cheesecake had a hint of burbon as well which was a nice touch. I could talk more but everything was good so I litterally don't have much more to say other than praises for this place. ratings should be higher.

oh almost forgot. they make a fresh loaf of bread as you can see in one of the pictures. arrives hot and delicious.

Concept of the place is you have a plate with your meat on it and you order sides that they put in the middle of the table to share with others.“

Cream potatoes were some of best we have had. Steak was cooked perfect. They gave us a post card with a note for anniversary which was nice touch. Drinks were overpriced in my opinion for the amount received. Had the bourbon colada. Was very very good but with the amount of ice it literally made for a few sips Atmosphere for 6 pm on Sunday was perfect. Quaint and fairly quiet I have been here in past where is us obnoxiously loud. Anyway I would recommend based on the overall experience and will go back again in the future.“

“Came to LJS for dinner and it was quite the experience. We ate in the restaurant and the staff was totally unexpected. I ordered a shrimp rice bowl with no rice and the chef offered to prepare it with lemon and then they accommodated my lack of rice appropriately and unexpectedly. The people who took the order were very friendly and attentive and three different people checked on our experience while we were eating. Food excellent. Staff excellent. Recommended. Everyone who has finished eating and left (about 5 people) have rung the bell, and I will too.“

“The food was delicious, the service horrible for a Tuesday wrong order once I got home it seemed they were dropping food per car instead of per order. 2 other cars were taking back orders to window. We asked were they sure ours was correct...cars wrapped around the building. Really wanted my cod and shrimp. Food was good still.
