“We had the aloo tikka chat, goat korma, and vegan dal padka with cheese and garlic naan. It was soooo delicious. My personal favorite was the goat korma. We will definitely come here again!!Vegetarian options: All kindsParking: Plenty of parking“
“We messed up our reservation but were accommodated graciously. Service was very good . Food was not generous with proportions but that suits us.. food was all delicious BUT.. the prices… wow! We rarely quibble over the cost of dinner but we felt these prices were excessive… $55 for a piece of salmon , $22 For 2 minuscule crab cakes. I’m afraid this will probably be our last visit.“
“Food was delicious. We’d gone to another seafood restaurant in Louisville last night, and were sorely disappointed, finding nothing but overcooked and under-seasoned food. We were apprehensive coming to this restaurant tonight, worried we would find more subpar seafood. Thankfully, this restaurant is completely different from the one we went to last night. Every single item we had was absolutely delicious. Cooked and seasoned to perfection. Our server, Ross, was great. Friendly, attentive, and gave fantastic recommendations. We loved every item he recommended. Between Ross’ stellar service, and the quality food served here, we will definitely be coming back!Kid-friendliness: The servers were great with our daughter. She loved the mac and cheese.“
“I have always enjoyed everything here, especially the food. However the owner went above and beyond this morning and is deserving of the highest praise. While eating there this morning, my 8-year-old told the owner about an idea for a new beignet (with chocolate and berries). The owner then asked his kitchen staff to make it for my son, which they did! I was so impressed by this and cannot recommend The Fish House/Cafe Beignet enough. He even refused to accept any payment for this special order. There's a reason this place has been in business for so long. Thanks for the hospitality!“
“Food and cocktails were wonderful. We all had the Prime Filet special. Delicious steak. Service was excellent. This is my fifth visit to this restaurant. The noise level was good this time because we were seated in the dining room. Noise level on bar side is crazy. Noise level on the bar side is my only complaint about this restaurant. If you're looking for a quiet evening, ask to be seated in dining room. I've had the prime filet, sea bass, shrimp and grits and all have been absolutely delicious.“
“We had the best service with Kate! She gave us tips on what to order and ahead of time was dead on. We started with a cocktail and had a glass of wine with dinner. We split the spicy chicken empanadas, delicious, however, we did not detect the spice. We split the green chili Caesar. Honestly, the best Caesar in town. I do t see how they get it so cold and crisp, it's amazing! We then each had a ceviche. The baby shrimp, which were much bigger than anticipated, such wonderful flavor! My daughter had the crab, the server suggested mixing it right away to get the sauce mixed in. Very good! It did need more liquid. We simply poured the extra shrimp sauce in the crab, it was superb after that. The tomato on the shrimp just gives it more moisture and such a good flavor! We can't wait to go back!“
“We had tapas: shrimp in garlic oil, steak skewers with chimichurri to dip (I'm a red chimichurri convert after this meal), vegetarian flatbread, and finished with the chocolate trio. I would order all of them again! It's a bit loud, but you can still have a conversation. The bar area for waiting is ridiculously dark.“
“This was my first time visiting and I was blown away by everything! The restaurant was clean and absolutely gorgeous. Without reservations we got riverside seating (I do recommend reservations). I don’t have enough beautiful words to tell you about our server, Ashley. My 2 best friends and I spent a couple hours enjoying oysters, appetizers and probably several different cocktails ☺️ Ashley was personable, attentive and completely amazing! Thank you Ashley for making this one of my Top 5 dining experiences!“
“Let's start at the beginning. Gorgeous restaurant. Tables aren't set up with intimacy in mind though. My husband's drink was perfect. My maple bourbon drink tasted like bourbon only. No other flavors noted. We were offered free champagne for our celebration which was a nice touch. Calamari was pretty standard though I loved the lemon aoli with it. My special of the day Sea Bass was incredible. My husband's salmon was good, perfectly cooked. This will be unpopular opinion but I thought the lobster bisque was gross. It tasted like melted cheese with a few lobster pieces thrown in. Not bisque at all. I do tend to be a bit critical since I lived in Boston once. But I couldn't eat it. Overall though fantastic restaurant. Especially seafood in a location far from any sea. Well done.“
“I've been there several times. Including takeout. It has excellent food with an excellent wait staff. This is a family owned business and it shows. We love those environments. The food was Italian not too garlicky. A good strong tomato flavor but with good seasoning, so as not to be overwhelming, we are considering this for my wife's birthday. It's that good of a choice.“
“Ramsi's Cafe of the World describes their cuisine as being global comfort food. I'm a fan of international foods, and was really struggling to find something that sounded appealing for dinner. As a Louisville native, Ramsi's has been a place I've patronized many times over the years. It feels like it's been ages since I've had Ramsi's; it caught my eye while browsing third-party delivery services. I reminisced about pre-COVID all-you-can-eat breakfast buffets and was sold on giving it a go. I ordered Salmon Sonesta-Blackened Scottish salmon, sun-dried tomato cream sauce. With mashed potatoes and stir-fried vegetables. The sun-dried tomato cream sauce was the star of this meal. The salmon was cooked to perfection. My only complaint was that the delivery service took too long. This was not the fault of Ramsi's and it wasn't enough to stop me from enjoying the meal cold. The sauce was well-packaged separately and is not in the corresponding photo.“
“What a great experience and amazing food. We went here for my daughters 11th birthday, she loves Italian food. We reserved a nice booth and we were promptly sat upon arriving. I ordered the wagyu filet and a side of lobster, my 7 year old loves lobster so we shared. They were able to have a gentleman describe some wine that paired with our food and we were not disappointed. When the food arrived we were all extremely satisfied. They even let us order off the menu, apparently their menu changed. The kids Alfredo was amazing, the shrimp scampi with scallops was delicious and the chicken Parm was perfect. You must dine here if you have the opportunity.“
“First time at Capital Grille and we were celebrating our anniversary! First impression was excellent & continued to be great! Sat at a booth and table had confetti hearts and a rose with a congratulatory card. Our server was Lydia and she was outstanding without being pretentious! We started with a cup of clam chowder and French onion soup. Clam chowder was good, but needed a little more seasoning. The French onion was delicious with loads of cheese. Hubs had the sea bass & it was excellent. Cooked perfectly. I had the strip steak Au poiver. It was excellent also & cooked to exactly as requested. The sauce was very good & steak was tender. We shared the Brussel sprouts and lobster Mac & cheese. Brussel sprouts were good as was the Mac & cheese altho not much lobster or lobster taste. I would skip the Mac & cheese next time. They gave us a complimentary champagne toast and complimentary dessert which was excellent!! Chocolate flower less cake and cheesecake with a creme brulee topping! So good!! Thank you for making this celebration so special“
“Egg rolls- fresh, deliciousSpring rolls- fresh, deliciousSesame balls- fresh, deliciousMapo tofu with fried rice- fresh, delicious. I expected the mapo tofu to be spicier since it's supposed to have a lot of peppers as the basis of the dish. It has almost no initial bite of spiciness. I can only feel whatever spiciness is there as a lingering but pleasant warm tingle around the mouth and lips in between bites of food. Not what I was expecting, but still flavorful and delicious. Would like to try the real deal sometime.“
“The atmosphere was great. Loved the lighting. Fire place made it feel cozy. Steak was a tiny bit undercooked, but still very good. Mashed potatoes were a bit cold in the middle and lacked a bit of flavor, but also still okay. The poppy seed bread/donuts were so yummy with the butter! And the deviled eggs were different & tasty. The server was very pleasant & attentive.“
“This is my favorite place in the town to go to get fish. As a child I couldn't wait to go to suburban For fish. It was in third street in a wooden shack with gravel walk way. I'm 60yrs old and I have treated my kids and grandkids to it. I have also turned a lot of my friends on to it. Keep up the good work suburban, you got me and mine hooked. The onions are a special treat too.“
“I have not felt very well the past few weeks, but after having dinner with the JCC social club at Mojito in Havana in Saint Matthews, I feel like a new person! The cities best salad was at Dittos in the Highlands for years before I found this place, the combination of surprises were literally a treat, and next time I will take better pictures so I can make mine better at home, the Mediterranean salad (no cheese, the grilled vegetables and a basket of fries completed by two Cubano coffees were the epic experience I have had in a long time, with a musician playing wonderful music right next to our tables of about 30 people!Everyone of our guests were overwhelmed by the quality and kindness of the servers and management as they brought our wonderful foods.Plus I have felt relief after eating there, this being my second day, quality is medicinal! :) Thanks to everyone who made this experience possible! :)“
“Our first time in Louisville, Kentucky and after all the reviews, we decided to stop in after our 5 hour drive and boy oh boy it was absolutely delicious!Service was friendly and place was really cute! Love the bar and the sign. And lots of seating for you while you wait for your table. The mussels are out of this world!! We got the entree of the Mussels in French broth with garlic and white wine sauce and it was tasty and fresh and just phenomenal! Korean BBQ wings was spicy and tangy. Argentinean burger was as tall as my face and very juicy. Sweet and spicy calamari was my least favorite dish but the stuffed dates with goat cheese and bacon in tomato sauce was surprisingly rich and creamy. Everything was great but you have to get the mussels!!!! Absolutely to die for!“
“The food is always delicious but 4 timed now we've tried to order online for pick-up on the way to work and our orders never go through. The last 2 times their tablet wasn't even turned on so they didn't even know there was an order. Luckily we typically have enough time to still stop in and wait and the food is definitely worth it!“
“I have to leave a bad review today. My husband and I both came 03/21/24 and he got fish and chips and I got steak and green beans and broccoli with queso. His fish was chewy and my steak was chewy in the center. We won't be back for awhile. My husband didn't eat most of his fish and they only took 10 bucks off. I didn't complain about the steak. I should have though. This is our go to place for a nice sit down experience. We've never had a bad experience here. Food is always on point.“
“I visited the restaurant for a company dinner. We ate in a private dining room. The service was amazing. The appetizers were delicious. We had the choice of the short ribs, salmon, filet mignon, or chicken Marsala. Everyone was so pleased with their meals. The cheesecake deserts were wonderful. I will definitely return here for dinner on my own.“
“My husband and I visited Louiville, Kentucky. We went to Fort Royal restaurant, because the name reminded my husband of the town that his father was from. Sure enough, the owner Jimmy was wonderful and friendly. The food was delicious, well seasoned, tasteful, flavorful, good portion and well served. Keep up the great work!“
“Food was good but I was surprised by how rundown the inside was for the price.2 of us had duct tape on our seats and when you looked around everything is beat up and past it's prime.Food was basically good but nothing I would rush back for.“
“Have gotten sushi, wings, drinks and cheesecake here. All were very good and the service was great. Laid back, clean atmosphere. A cool concept and great addition to the neighborhood. I look forward to trying some of the other options in the future. One note: you order the wings/chicken from the bar. The other vendors have signs.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options“
“Gustavo's was a tantalizing taco adventure for my wife and me! She savored every bite of the succulent Shrimp Tacos, while I indulged in the flavorful Al Pastor Tacos. Washed down with ice-cold Cokes, it was a match made in culinary heaven. The salsa and queso added a delightful finger-licking touch to our experience. Kudos to the impeccable service – our drinks were refilled with perfect timing, and extra chips magically appeared when we needed them most. The relaxed atmosphere was the cherry on top, allowing us to savor every moment without feeling overcrowded. Gustavo's, you've won our hearts and taste buds – we'll definitely be back for more taco bliss!“
“I wanted a chicken biscuit which wasn't a menu item and the nice french chef said he'd make it. It was delicious, tender chicken with nice crunch and rich flavor. Biscuit was good as well, all tasted homemade. Huge portion, great value. We will be back!“
“Great food, the only Chinese food I get in fern creek. The Little family has ran it since I first started eating here are nice. If you eat here understand they do randomly get super busy so it might take a little longer to make your order but it's all fresh man tastes great“
“Best Mexican food experience I've ever had. Great food, drinks and service, The menu was extensive and we felt very welcome as non Spanish speakers as did others in our party who live or have lived in Mexico. When I think of traveling to or through Louisville, this is one of the first places that crosses my mind to return to.“
“Got a New England clam chowder and 1/3 lb of crab legs. The New England clam chowder was alright... It was too salty to say the least and not my most favorite. But the crab legs on the other hand with the garlic butter and all the other helpings were delicious and full of succulent flavor. They also put in a generous helping of shrimp too which was phenomenal in my case. Great first time trying this place out and will not certainly be my last.“
“This was one of our favorite restaurant and steakhouse experiences in Louisville. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was perfectly structured and maintained, and the service was fantastic! We had one of the most expertly selected and prepared cuts of prime New York strip, which is saying a lot since I prefer ribeye with more marbling usually, paired with two delicious side dishes. The portions were very generous, so we were able to split the meal, with a $7 upcharge, and both left full!Miles was by far the best part of our experience. He was so professional and personable, and made excellent recommendations for everything we are, from the scallop appetizer, to the amaretto cheesecake for desert. He was so friendly and attentive, he really made the experience shine for us.“
“I had the most amazing snow crab boil for 31.99 and since I had never been there I thought there was no way that it could fill me up so I ordered a perch dinner also. I was so full from the crab I barely touched my perch dinner. What I did eat of the perch dinner it was just as fabulous as the crab meal. Solid fan!!!!! Great service and conversation. Will go back when I am town for sure!!! Pre birthday dinner was amazing!!“
“The food and service was excellent. However, at no fault of the restaurant, a mother and father let their children run around and scream at the top of their lungs, which made for an unpleasant experience. We will definitely be back...hopefully, that family won't be back.“
“This is a great little restaurant ! They have a hot braised chicken dish, that you can't find anywhere. I ate this same dish at a place for decades, that is no longer open. To say I had high hopes for it, is a an understatement. I was not disappointed. The Lo mein was also spectacular. The service was quick and polite. My wife and I drive 20 minutes to try this place and I'll definitely be back !Highly recommend“
“My boyfriend picked this place for dinner, I am a new mom so we also brought our baby. It was a little cold in the restaurant but there was a lot of seating and they weren't busy at all. We went Friday night so we were able to enjoy the buy one get one free Margarita! I got the raspberry mango on the rocks they were out of frozen and I also tried the regular and both were good. We got a decent amount of food for $45 especially with alcohol.“
“Dang. A perfect 5 is not something I give out lightly but dang. This place(even during the busiest hours) DELIVERS. Food. BANGING. Servers/host/busboys. SLAYING. I’ll be back, again and again!Got a half pound of crab legs for my wife, shrimp for me. When in doubt, go for their signature seasoning“
“5 star! 10 star! This place hits home for my fiance. He's from Chicago and has been very disappointed in the "Chicago" restraunts around. We've finally found one that makes being in Louisville tolerable for him. The Italian beef with nacho cheese added was perfect ! The wings.... if your from Chicago you know. He loves it ! Thanks for keeping him happy ? ?.Kid-friendliness: Great place to make your family feel welcome. Plenty of parking lot space to walk safe with your children to the door.Parking: Plenty of parking spaces, this is large lot.Wheelchair accessibility: It is all flat service, perfect for a wheelchair.“
“This is always our go to restaurant when we can't think of any where to go. The service is outstanding and the ambiance is nice. It's lovely for a date night or with friends/family. The food is delicious ! My favs are the NY strip steak, crab cakes, ribs, salmon dip, and of course their carrot cake. In the summers they have a large ice cream and chocolate dessert. I believe it's called the incredible/impossible? I could be completely wrong but it's amazing! I highly recommend this place.“
“The Fish House served up a fresh and tasty catfish combo for lunch which included fries and coleslaw. Next time, I'll ask for my fish to be fried a bit harder. The staff were very friendly and eager to assist me with anything I needed. It was my first visit and I will visit them again soon.“
“My wife worked here when she was sixteen years old. Now fifty-two. She used to talk about how clean they made the employees keep the place and how there couldn't be even a dried water spot on the stainless steel in the back.I reallly like the onion rings here. They are like none other! Good place to eat. Been about ten to fifteen years since I've been there but the food was VERY good!“
“First time visiting and even though we only had time for a margarita and some empanadas, we loved it! VERY clean restrooms, to me that's always a good signifier of a clean restaurant. Prompt service, reasonably priced and delicious. Can't wait to come back with the whole “
“Very clean restaurant! Shrimp was fried perfectly, which made my meal enjoyable. The sides need a little work as there aren't enough options and the fries and green beans are edible but not the greatest. Price was perhaps a little higher than it should be for lunch, but overall I'm satisfied and would be happy to come back if I have a quick seafood craving.Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs on entry and plenty of tables for wheelchair needs.“
“I was so excited to try this authentic Mexican restaurant. I saw the loaded nachos on the menu and I knew that I had to try this. I wasn't prepared for the grilled onions and green peppers to be on this. I absolutely loved everything about these nachos. The atmosphere was wonderful. So artistic and beautiful. Too bad I don't speak Spanish because they were in all their glory with Hispanic people sitting at the bar. Wonderful experience and I highly recommend this place if you're looking for authentic!!!“
“I would recommend this place . I am from Florida and managed a seafood restaurant and this is by far some of the best tasting seafood I have ever ate. the shrimp boil was amazing, the cat fish had the best flavor and fried to a perfect golden brown crisps, the seafood tacos we good enough to slap your momma, shrimp and grits were full and taste with a Cajun twist, gator bites were perfectly cooked and the seafood Mac and cheese well let just say my dad doesn't eat mac and cheese at all and he said it was delicious... friendly staff clean atmosphere. will be coming back the next time we are in town.“
“Went there twice recently, got the Bratwurst one time and the Whale of a Sandwich the next both were just like I remember them, nice n yummy! So are the HushpuppiesI like a lot of tarter sauce and they have an ample amount always available from the dispenser near the tables - wish they had one for mustard for bratwurst. But I loved it! It is in a nice spot you can sit at window counter and watch traffic go past. They have one of those old City of Louisville posters which are fun to look at.“
“I'll admit, I thought I was going to be able to come in and sit down to enjoy a nice meal. However they only have carry-out. Now I am not used to eating such a big, scrumptious, fish dinner in the car. But, it was without a doubt the best meal I have ever eaten. I can't wait to get back downtown to stop here. This time I will bring a towel with me, so as not to get it all over my car. I will never forget how good this place is: fish, red potatoes, corn on the cob, and broccoli with a very yummy spice on it. The man who waited on me was nice and very polite. I presume this place is owned by immigrants so maybe they didn't have a whole lot to get started. You have to admire them that they were willing to do this.“
“Three things that I look for in a good dining experience is good customer service, well presented food and taseful food.I personally like to go to Storming Crab often.Seafood is what I like and I get the shrimp, corn and potatoes.Based upon the qualities that I’ve listed I do think that they meet my criteria. When I walk in each of the servers are friendly and greet me with a smile. When I sit down they give good service.I like to have the head off my shrimp and a certain type of flavor (cajun hot). They always make sure that everything is correct.I would hate to to see a shrimp head on my seafood and they make sure to have it off every time and thoroughly listen to my order. When I get the food I see it steaming hot.The food well presented and they pour it out of a bag on to the seafood tray. Then when I take a bite It is tasteful to my liking.“
“We had a large group, 8 guests. Our waitress was training another girl and both were so kind and helpful. We had somebody who couldn't have dairy, and the chef came out to explain what he could do for her. He was a hoot and made our experience there more amazing. The food was delicious. Dessert was to die for. The atmosphere was very mature. Will go back and can't wait“
“The fish and chips (cod) were above average for sure. All the food was really good. I'm not a hushpuppy expert, but good ones here. Very good service. Nice clean place. The prices are decent and it's just me but I mostly always ding a place for charging over $3 for a regular sized fountain pop. The waitress was nice enough to offer me a pop to go though.“
“Yes, The Fishery does indeed have the best fish sandwich in town, and onion rings and coleslaw as well. But its newest addition tops the chart for the best tacos in town. They are amazing in flavor and beautiful in presentation. Every bite was savory. I must admit though that I also love their crab cakes and the sauce that is served with them, a combination to crave. And then there's some of the best, if not the best, clam chowder in this city. It is so hardy that I found it to be my number one choice to warm the insides on cold winter days. Whatever one orders at The Fishery, you cannot go wrong. It is all amazing. Enjoy!“
“Been hitting Senor Iguana for over 8 years! Simply delish! Had the chicken/shrimp fajitas tonight. They were amazing!! Food never fails to deliver. Jesus is the best waiter ever! Always a beautiful smile and always remembers you!!“
