My family and I ate at Alexander’s at Oxmoor in Louisville, KY tonight. I ordered the pork entree as I usually do. Tonight the pork was over done and very dry. This is my favorite restaurant, but tonight was very disappointing. I was there with my husband, our son and his wife. The food was not hot. Service was very slow. I was most disappointed with both the service and the food.
Brought my Mom here for lunch. She was craving ribs and this was the perfect spot to appease her request. They fell off the bone, nicely seasoned and a perfect meal for us to share. But above all the service was friendly, genuine and made our lunch even more enjoyable. It’s a wonderful spot.
This is not my first time at J. Alexander’s, but a group of us went tonight for an early dinner and I have never experienced such rude front desk workers at a restaurant. We walked in and were immediately met with glares and attitude by them. The hostess who we spoke specifically with had short black hair and glasses and immediately got annoyed that we didn’t have reservations (which you don’t technically need and it wasn’t that busy), and rolled her eyes...read full review
