I had never had a Pupus before and the first one I had, blew the top of my head off, just like in a cartoon. They are stuffed with the 'fixin's' and cooked until they are golden brown, and melt in your mouth. I ordered one of each kind, and had a hard time finishing the third one, so I took the fourth one home. This is a Latin America specialty and a MUST TRY if you like corn flavored foods, Mexican style. I have been back several times and will keep going back.
A nice, cozy small business with big flavor! My father and I only had the pupusas (queso & frijoles y queso) and were very impressed by how good they tasted and how filling they were. We each had two. They also included a container of homemade slaw that's lightly vinegary but goes well with the food. Homemade sauces were brought to us to compliment the food and were quite good. I have never heard of pupusa. My friend bought me a few of them while I was doing some electrical work for their business. I had a cheese, a pork and a combination papusa and I WAS HOOKED!!! These were beyond delicious! The shredded cabbage in the light vinegar dressing that goes on top makes this one of the tastiest meals I have EVER had. Be aware that they are VERY HOT when they are brought to you. Give them a minute to cool before you devour them.
