I don't get down there often but always stop in when I do. Not much of a crowd for my late lunch early dinner time. Service at the bar is always great, food is out very fast every time. Rice can be a little dry at times but not always. Otherwise everything tastes great. The location itself seems to have some age on it and can look a little dingy, not dirty but shows wear and tear. Lighting could be upgraded.
John Virtue is a very good business man. Since John has owned Pepe's the food the drinks and the service has improved tremendously. As a franchisee he must go by Pepe's rules of ownership. He also compounded a few of his favorite from his own restaurant. The waitress was very good and not overbearing checked on us at the right times etc.

When my husband and I walked we thought for sure we'd be waiting quite some time for our food but we were hungry for Pepe's so we stayed. Come to find out we Did Not have to wait long at all for our food thankfully and as always, it was hot, fresh, and good. Pepe's has never disappointed us.
