“Came here on 7-29-25 for lunch. Craving a good dog. And this by far is on top of my list. Got a Indian dog and cheese frys. And a root beer. The dog and frys were awesome. Didn't really care for the rootbeer. Overall 4 outta 5 stars for me. Will be back!“

“I had breakfast here, and the biscuits and gravy as well as the hash browns were so delicious and the portions are amazing for the price. Our waitress was very friendly and offered prompt and attentive service. I'd eat here again in a heartbeat and it would be a regular breakfast spot if I lived in Gas City.“

“Today I had a good lunch at the Hostess House. The service was quick. The food was good. I love the aesthetically vintage look of the Hostess House. It’s a historical building in Marion built in the early 1900’s by an African American architect named Samuel Plato. I’ll definitely be back!“

“2/10 stars. I got the Ribeye dinner. The steak was tough even tho it was medium rare, tough like a cheap Walmart steak. It had 0 flavor other than burnt/charred taste like they never clean their grill. There's a big difference between fire flavor and not cleaning ur grill flavor. Green beans straight from a can, were gross. Mashed potatoes weren't bad but didn't taste the best. Bob Evans at the grocery store is 10 times better at making mashed potatoes. oh and the best part.. my salad was soggy/wet. I am sure they saw that and still served it to us anyway. I thought it was a glob of guacamole ontop because it was so wet. Dont go here. I have full regret. went on a Wednesday night- only one car in the parking lot.“

“I love this place. I’ve never eaten in. I always place to go orders, but if you get car-side service you def need to check your order before you leave. I paid for onion rings and ended up with tater tots, even still, no complaints. Whenever I come to Marion, I stop here for a tenderloin. The wait can be long but it’s worth it, because the food comes out hot. Even if you’re getting your food to go, make sure to tip these folks working car-side, yall!!“

“I enjoyed the Blueberry Lemonade, so tasty! Hubby ordered blueberry pancakes and they were heavenly. I only rated the food less because they were out of Philly steak, no pickle with the burger, and my crepes didn't come with cheesecake mousse filling. Servers weren't sure who's table it was. Very clean.“

“Overall, every time I've visited, I've gotten very good food. I can really only nitpick about this location, such as dirty menus and broccoli that's a bit undercooked. But at the end of the day it's still a very good place to eat that's not TOO expensive.“

“The food is good. I like that they switched back to beef tallow. I would not call it fast food. They do not start your food until it is ordered. It is disappointing that they cut back on the service, but most places don't know what good service is anyway.
I have not had any issues at this location and have been through here often lately. I typically do not like drive-through service, but it has been solid here.“
