Tenderloin Sandwich & Cod Fish Dinner

“The specials today were smoked sausage, green beans and potatoes with cornbread and what they call the "Mac" burger. Both specials were around eight dollars. The bartender is attentive and extremely friendly. I got the Mac burger with cottage cheese and he got the green being smoked sausage and potatoes. Sometimes you just want a laid-back non-pretentious dinner like it's a home cooked meal but you didn't have to cook it or do the dishes. I love it that they have a jukebox. I always get it going with my music and you can do it over the Wi-Fi on your phone. This is just a nice laid-back place to sit down and discuss. They have some food and a couple of beers while you listen to music. In the wise words of Toby Keith, "I LOVE THIS BAR".”

“New business in downtown Rushville, Indiana. I think it is worth a drive here! This is the second occasion that I got to try their chocolate bars and I chose the dark chocolate. My hubby really likes the milk chocolate so maybe next time I'll buy him one. I have not tried any of the pastries yet so today I bought a cream horn and I'm going to save it for my dessert after dinner. Today was their first day and it was a soft opening they did not have coffee today but eventually they will. A little bit about the owners, Dustin and Mai, they had a shop in Beattyville Kentucky and have just moved to Rushville to raise their daughter and they have family in nearby Connersville. Dustin is the chocolatier and he is one of two to three in the state that makes chocolate all the way from the cacao bean. Mai makes all of the pastries and I will probably try every one of them! I look forward to having them serve our small town of Rushville. Good luck to you both! You definitely have a new customer.”

Ribeye and Fries

“Had a good experience. We showed up when they opened up at 11am and they only had a few others that came in during our time there. It's a good time to go if you're wanting to eat out without a crowd. The chicken had great crunch and flavor. You got a good amount of chicken for the cost. I chose all dark meat and got 2 legs, 2 thighs and a back. Plan to give extra time for the fried chicken. It takes 30 mins to make. I got mashed potatoes and gravy as my potato side with the fried chicken dinner. They were smooth and the gravy was good but needed salt imo, but that would be good for those who need a low salt option. Coffee was standard diner type coffee; good, hot and fresh. The salad bar had a lot of different salad options. Potato salad, pasta salad, pea salad, cottage cheese, bacon, black olives, ham, onion, etc. Was happy to see poppy seed dressing too.My party said the catfish was amazing. Waitress said the ribeyes are what she would recommend for next time, that they're hand cut and one of her favorites as well as the fried chicken.”

“Duh I'll give it a high five. Sober owner, 2 relatives who work there, and oh my God it's my go to for the "she orders it like this: Cowboy Anna Gridley Old School Style Please" only pizza and only way to get it in my opinion. Can't wait to go back each time to PK on Perkins. Bring back the old style please.”
