Based on the reviews, Mulligan's Bar and Grill offers a mix of good food and service, with some notable quirks. The food quality is generally high, with the grilled tenderloin described as spectacular and the Portobello Mushroom Sandwich really good, featuring a great crunch and perfect balsamic glaze. The spicy cheese curds were a favorite, and the fish and chips were very good, though the fish was not too fresh. However, the catfish was pretty mushy, and the tea was disappointing and diluted. Drinks were very poor at first, with an Apple Bomb being clearly a Moscow Mule, though the staff was honest about being new. The service is top notch, with great people working there and unbelievably hospitable staff. The atmosphere is great, with a phenomenal view and nice, clean surroundings. The restaurant is linked with the Rolling Meadows Golf Club. A key issue is that the menu on the website is not the correct menu; the current in-house menu is quite small. Items are priced à la carte, and ordering a side from the appetizer section is half-price with generous portions, but a side of fries came with a $2.50 extra charge. The speed of food and getting the check was all top notch.
