“We always love the food from Cracker Barrel. This last visit was unfortunately not very good. We had to continuously ask for syrup for the pancakes and then when they brought them, they brought the wrong kind as we needed sugar-free by the time they did get it to us pancakes were a little bit better than lukewarm. The eggs were not cooked the way we had asked. The service was very slow and although all this sounds bad, we will of course be going back because most of the time it’s good service and good food. We were at the Cracker Barrel in Merrillville, Indiana.“

“Went here for dinner after working nearby. Was looking for something “local” and not a chain. Was definitely happy with our visit.

Our food was excellent as well as the service. The atmosphere was great. It had a “Cracker Barrel” meets “Louisiana BBQ” vibe. One review thought it was dated, and I thought the dining area was nice, yet the bathrooms could use some updating. Not going to fault the place for that - the bathroom is still functional and was clean.

I had the smoked wings, green beans and mashed sweet potatoes, and my fiancé had chicken, mashed potatoes, and collard greens. We shared a key like pie for desserts and brought home a peach cobbler for later, since another diner recommended it.

Would definitely go back.“

“For our first family reunion we wanted to have rib tips and grilled wings to start our function off right. Kelly’s Soul Kitchen was professional and efficient! “I haven't had BJs Market in years and was in the area and said let me get their famous catfish. I ordered the catfish dinner and it comes with 3 sides and a corn muffin. To me it's a good value for the amount of food you receive. I also ordered peach cobbler. I ordered Mac and cheese, dressing, and sweet potato souffle. I didn't personally try the Mac and cheese my daughter ate that. The dressing was good but the gravy was to watery for my liking. The souffle was delicious. My catfish was burned but still edible and flavorful. The highlight for me was the amazing peach cobbler! All I needed was ice cream.“

“Was scrolling on TikTok, ran across this beautifully presented meals. I got out my bed and immediately came here. If you are looking for a taste that gives you a nostalgic feeling like you’re sitting in your grandmas kitchen on a Sunday, THIS IS IT! I think this is a hidden gem. This place deserves more attention. Food was so good, I tried to sample it in store and ended up sitting down and eating the entire meal and ordered more food to take home. The buffalo sauce had an amazing homemade taste. Again everything was so good I’m excited for my next visit. I plan on ordering the rib tips. I also Had the pleasure of meeting Ms. Sharon she was sweet and hospitable.“

“I had the BEST experience with Honey's Chicken! I had to place a large order for catfish fillets for my wedding, and the owner actually came out to assist me with the order. He and his staff were very nice and accommodating. Not only were they nice, but the fish was AMAZING! I had to scramble to make sure my husband and I had fish. I'm truly grateful for the service. You guys are a blessing. Much success to you.“
