My husband and I tried Obi’s Outpost today for the first time. We are from Muncie but made a drive to Hartford City today because I had a medical test scheduled in Blackford. My husband found the restaurant while searching for restaurants near us online as he was waiting for me to finish with my testing. the brisket is worth the stop. it was so tender and the flavor was right on point.
We ducked in to check it out while we were in town killing time. Had no idea what the place was or what to expect, but we loved it! Food was excellent and the prices are as well! We’ll absolutely be coming back.

Obi's Outpost is a restaurant that has a Star Wars theme, which some visitors may miss at first. The food is excellent and the prices are good, making it a place worth returning to. On Sundays, the owners grandmother makes home made noodles, and he smokes a brisket, makes gravy with it, and flavors the noodles. This dish is $10.15 after tax and can come with a decent size bowl of smash taters and brisket noodles. The noodles are only available on Sundays and are highly recommended.
Other menu items include Pulled Chicken, Meat Candy, Fries, Coleslaw, sweet BBQ sauce, Spicy BBQ, waffle fries, Brisket burger, brisket sandwich, pull pork, chicken breast sandwich, pickle bombs, smoked jumbo wings, ribs, brisket, macaroni and cheese, collard greens, corn bread, and HOMEMADE apple cake. The apple cake is served warm with whipped cream on top and drizzled with caramel sauce. Everything is absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked, with the right amount of spice and smoke. The rich smoke flavor is notable, and not many BBQ restaurants nail it like this. Obi's Outpost is now one of the favorites for some visitors, and it is recommended for anyone who likes bbq.
