My family and I ordered take out.. 1st, they never gave us corn shells with 2 fajita orders and we had none at home. So we just ate with our silverware.. real “ authentic “ Mexican food. 2nd, I ordered a steak fajita meal with a $6 side order of shrimp and only got 4 shrimp in my order. $1.50 a shrimp is what that comes too. Don Jose offers outstanding food, authentic and flavorful, despite its location next to a gas station. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant is clean and comfortable. The staff are nice, though they speak limited English, so bringing a few words or asking for modifications is helpful, especially for vegetarian or vegan options. For example, one visitor ordered the LA chimichanga with no meat. The restaurant is kid-friendly, with high chairs available, and offers a few vegetarian options that can be modified. Parking is limited because it is attached to a gas station, but it is still worth visiting for the great food and friendly service.
