La Margarita Fountain Square offers amazing vegan Al Pastor tacos and killer drinks, especially their margaritas. The location is great for lunch or dinner, and the service is friendly. While the Mexican food servings are hefty, some find the prices a bit high for standard cuisine. The guacamole, chips, and salsa are excellent, with a satisfying spicy salsa and flavorful verde. The restaurant is known for its vegetarian and vegan options, including their own seitan, which is used for delicious meatless Mexican dishes. The habanero seitan is mouth wateringly good, and substitutions are welcomed, making it easy to go meatless. The restaurant features a dog-friendly outdoor patio and offers an authentic, delicious menu that keeps customers coming back to try different dishes. They serve the best nachos and beef birria consommé around, and often have a great rotating IPA on draft. Surprisingly, their vegan chorizo is better than regular chorizo. La Margarita remains one of Indy's best spots, even if it flies under the radar.
