Macizo Restaurant offers an absolutely great dining experience with fantastic food, impeccable service, and a positive, welcoming atmosphere. The cuisine is a perfect blend of Mexican and Peruvian food with a little Asian flair, providing dishes that are not your normal Mexican cuisine. Standout meals include the incredible Guac bowl, amazing focaccia, rajas con queso, enchiladas verde, mole with amazing depth of flavor, and enfrijoladas with a unique smoky taste. The drinks, like the delicious Tepache and white sangria, are also praised.
The service is outstanding and genuine, with staff happily sharing about the food they love. The gracious owners are often noted for personally welcoming guests. Despite being open only a year, the restaurant has earned a James Beard award nomination. The overall feeling is one of being transported to a warmer climate, making it a place visitors would gladly travel to again. It is a 10/10 establishment where every dish is delicious and unique.
