We like coming here for our pan dulce fix. The place is small, but the variety is large. You serve yourself by grabbing a pan and thongs and take your treats to the register to pay. No prices are visible but everything is delicious. Try the tree leches or the Conchita. My personal favorite is the napoleonas but they didn't have any ready today until later.
You know a panaderia is going to be good when the person behind the counter doesn't speak English, and you have to do your best to clumsily paste together a janky Spanglish sentence -- borne from a murky remembrance that stems from your four years of barely squeaking by in high-school Spanish -- to let her know that you'd like a piece of the tres leches cake in the display case that's located behind her.
