Food was delicious! passion fruit juice was amazing!
We finally got to try this place today. You HAVE to go! We didn't totally understand the cuisine but the waitress and the owner were SO kind and so much fun, explained things. Fried plantains amazing! Fried breaded cod Cuban style. Cuban sandwich (the meat was so tender). Cuban sauces. AND rice pudding, yum. The various home made sauces just made things even better! Oh! and expresso. 😃. Try it. You'll love it. Cannot wait to go again. Thank you!! Karen and Jody.
Finally got a chance to eat here. It was so good! My picky grandson even discovered he liked foods he never tried before. The service was great. 10/10!!

Wepa Cocina Criolla is a Puerto Rican restaurant in Lafayette, Indiana. The food is authentic, absolutely delicious, and cooked fresh, and you can taste the freshness. The staff is friendly, lovely, and attentive. The service is excellent. The restaurant stayed open to serve a family and did not disappoint. The mofongo with carne Frita is 11/10, and the place deserves recognition for making a Puerto Rican restaurant in this extremely non Puerto Rican atmosphere/town. The shrimp mofongo and the roasted pork mofongo are enjoyed, along with a side of authentic rice. The flan for dessert is suggested. The portion sizes are great, and the prices are very reasonably priced. One bite felt like being in Puerto Rico, and the one hour drive was worth it. This is the perfect dining experience and the best food in Indiana. It will be the go-to every time in Lafayette, Indiana. Highly recommend trying it.
