“I have been to the boathouse restaurant several times and I enjoy coming. I was there this evening and I ordered a side of asparagus. I often order a side of vegetables and I specifically ask that there being no oil on the vegetables. And every time they put oil on them. The only way I can seem to get this request met is to have to send the waiter or waitress back to the kitchen and have it redone. I don’t understand why it’s so difficult to just get plain steamed vegetables upon request. I really enjoy food I get otherwise, and I usually have good service, I just cannot seem to get food that isn’t all coded in oil.”

“There are very few places that after 40 years in the restaurant industry that excite me. This is one of them! I can't wait to return to try so many items on their menu. Our server Julie was a pro and made us feel like we've been coming there for years, despite it being our first time. The restaurant was clean and well run, even the young ladies running the door and bussing knew what they were doing. The atmosphere was upbeat and fun, the decorating theme is tropical tiki but it's not too kitschy. While the menu is very seafood heavy(that's what brought us there), I'd have to say that there is something delicious for everyone. They are know to serve up a great steak and decadent pasta dishes. The sushi menu is incredible. The menu has so many tantalizing seafood dishes that I won't go into detail. Desserts are house made and are wonderful. We can't wait to return very soon!”

“I love this place. The food is amazing I got the corned beef and hash and it was spot on! The service is phenomenal. The ladies are so polite and friendly. They make you feel right at home. The atmosphere is just what you would expect at a small diner. There’s not much seating but the people in this community are genuinely so nice that they let my family sit at their table so we got to meet new friends. We only come up here on the weekends, but I plan to make this place a stopmost weekends.”

“Quaint nostalgic diner atmosphere with good food & fair prices. Take 6 out of Nappanee to 15 & you can’t miss it. Opens at 6am. Great stop on the way in to the office or yard in Goshen. I recommend the 3-egg omelette with ham & toast!”
