Chicken Shops in Martinsville, IN

“We visited Sgt. Peppers Chicken in Martinsville today and had a really good experience overall. It’s a seat-yourself place, so we were able to get in right away and only had a couple people ahead of us in line to order. The food took a little while, but everything came out hot and fresh. I had the four-piece chicken tenders, and they were huge, perfectly cooked, and had an amazing batter and coating. I also ordered the fried mushrooms and homemade chips. My wife had the three-piece chicken tenders with mac and cheese, and the mac and cheese was creamy, melty, and really flavorful. The restaurant was very clean and inviting, including the restrooms, and they even have a separate room for larger parties. We sat outside since the weather was beautiful, and it made for a great visit.
The only complaint I had was the portion size of the fried mushrooms. They were good, but for around $4.99, I expected the container to be a little more full. I think we only got around seven or eight mushrooms. Other than that, everything was wonderful. Overall, I’d give it 4.5 out of 5 stars and would definitely go back.“
