We visited this wonderful place today for the first time. The staff was very friendly and the food was out of this world. If a great atmosphere and the best menu is for you, I am giving 5 stars in every category.
I’ve eaten here many times and the food ( especially the tenderloin) is always top notch. Service is generally very good.
I’d prefer a non smoking place, but we go when the crowd is minimal. I blame the smoking on the inconsiderate customers

Mecca Tavern is a hidden gem with excellent food that's out of this world. Despite its dive-like appearance, the atmosphere is wonderful and the staff is friendly. The menu features deep-fried bar food, including the massive tenderloin, which is a true phenomenon. The tenderloin is so large that it often requires sharing, and many say it’s worth the trip just to try it. The rustic building has a charming, back-woodsy vibe that adds to the experience. Prices are very friendly, making it feel like a great deal for such a feast. The service can be a little slow, and the place tends to have lots of flies and cigarette smoke, but the friendly staff and warm atmosphere more than make up for it. Customers often take their food to go to avoid the flies, and many enjoy the ice-cold beer and the overall experience. When you visit, don’t miss the tenderloin—it’s a must-try that keeps people coming back.
