“My wife and I visit Michigan City a half dozen times each year. We stay at the Blue Chip Hotel Casino. Most of our dining is done on property, but we usually stop for a meal in the area on each trip. Today we found Dune Billies when we searched breakfast near me. We were very fortunate to find this place. We went there on a Friday, and it was very busy but there was a table open. I ordered the Captain's breakfast My wife ordered the French toast with walnuts and bourbon glazed bananas. My breakfast came with brown sausage gravy and biscuits, eggs, and potatoes. I consider myself a biscuits and gravy connoisseur, and this was some of the best I have ever had. My wife made a rookie mistake. she let me try her French toast, and I managed to eat easily 1/3 of her breakfast 😂 although the restaurant was busy, Alex our server managed to take our order and get our breakfast to us very quickly. We always enjoy a visit to Michigan City. Now we will be making Dune Billies a regular stop. Maybe next time we will even take home one of their renowned whole quiches!“

“I just stopped for a little “breakfast-y” thing this morning (6/19/24) and got a bacon quiche….OMG….the absolute BEST quiche I’ve ever had! Great service, nice people!“

“Had a great experience at Leeds, the food was amazing, the staff were very friendly and efficient. The atmosphere here is awesome ill definitively be back try everything on the menu. They have a beautiful outdoor patio as well im sure it looks amazing at night. I had the Turkey Panini with Provolone, bacon, orange marmalade, onion and Arugala, best panini ive ever had, this is a restaurant where its so relaxing you dont want to leave and the music was at a perfect level and good selection ?“

“Service is awesome. Very friendly, upbeat waitstaff that checks in frequently.

Garden salads are large and very good.

Block pizza is good, but some of the photos make it look Detroit style with thick, fluffy, crispy crust. It’s closer to grandma style pie with a thin-ish crust that’s crispy, but with the pizza sauce drizzled over the cheese like a Detroit style. Lots of cheese and toppings. Overall super good, just not what I was expecting based on photos online.“

“Great place for meeting up with friends and enjoying wine time. The food is good… we ordered two flatbreads and both were good (Thai chili & jerk chicken). The burger was cool. However. We didn’t really care for the short rib sandwich.
The menu is small but I love that they use all types of flavors. The atmosphere is beautiful with nice views and they have outdoor pods you can rent for your group. Check it out! Nice spot :)“

“The ‘what the cluck?’ and ‘andouille po boy’ were both delicious! The catfish nugz were super soft and tasty too. A little salty after eating a couple of ‘em though.

I personally would come back here to have the ‘what the cluck’ bao burger and nugz again.

We also tried out some of the seasonal ciders. My favorite was the apple caramel cider. After trying some ciders, we traveled to Valparaiso and visited Misbeehavin’ Meads to purchase a couple drinks for friends and family.

“Awesome place that looks like a fishingboat. The food was good and plenty. They are also playing cool music and you can see the lighthouse and the drawbridge from the " deck " . Highly recommend it if you are looking for a unique experience in Michigan City.“

“Great service, ordered a spinach and mushroom pizza and it was very photogenic. Tastes great too!

Vegetarian options: Good number of veggies you can put on your pizza, the mushrooms are the best.

Dietary restrictions: For a low sodium option, order a thin crust and add all the veggies you want except for olives. Black olives are salt bombs.

Parking: Parking lot is tiny.

Kid-friendliness: There's a little Noid shelf with a brief history of the character, including the NES game.“
