“I don’t often leave reviews but this was one of the best meals I have had in a very long time. It was the day before Valentines and it was busy. We were greeted and checked in by what I presume is a son or family member. So polite and attentive even at a young age. Our table wasn’t ready so the hostess personally walked us to the bar. When the bartender was busy the hostess took the time to get us glasses of wine while we waited. Again, it was busy but we sat in beautiful ambience while we waited for our appetizer of hummus, tzatziki and spicy whipped feta (which was my absolute favorite). They also served us bread made in house which was like little bites of heaven. My husband had the avgolemono soup which was uniquely served and delicious. We both got the souvlaki- my husband the chicken and I got the filet. We each tried each others and both were so flavorful. I purposefully did not finish my meal so I could enjoy it the next day as well. We have already discussed what we will try next time we come back, and we will. To sum it up (and I hope google translated it correctly) Katapliktikós (Amazing)!“

I let him know the napkins were empty and after re-filling them he thought to bring napkins to our table. That might sound like an obvious next step, but I have found this to be a rare attribute in a lot of restaurant employees, to go the extra mile. He checked in with our table regularly to ensure we had what we needed, and also offered to clear our table when finished. These little things are reasons that my family loves coming to Buona. “Was there last Friday. Food and service were excellent. They were out of the Stagg bourbon that I ordered…which was priced at $30 a pour. The waiter asked if I would like to substitute EH Taylor Small Batch instead…which is priced at $17 per pour in the menu. I said that would be fine. I watched them bring the bottle out which I recognized as Small Batch. The bourbon was excellent. Received my bill and was charged the $30 for the Stagg. Pointed it out to the waiter and he said oh no, the bourbon we substituted for you is priced much higher at $47 a pour and we gave that to you for the same price since we were out of the Stagg. I said, no you gave me the EH Taylor Small Batch which is priced at $17 on the menu. He said no I don’t think so. I said can you please ask the bartender what she poured, she said it was the small batch. They whispered back and forth a bit and she told me that I should take advantage of that bill adjustment…like I got a deal when all I wanted was to be charged according to what the menu stated. In the end our waiter was apologetic, adjusted our bill correctly, and was very friendly and attentive throughout our dinner. Just seemed a bit fishy to me. I don’t know everything about bourbon but, I do some hunting and would never pay $30 let alone $47 a pour for Taylor small batch.“

“The food was phenomenal! I love Reubens and was excited to try theirs. Smokey and full of flavor, the smoke on it was just the right amount and meat was fall apart tender and not fatty at all. The peach sangria was the best white sangria I’ve had in a long time, not too sweet with a bit of citrus, my only regret was not ordering the bottle because it was 1/2 price bottles! Our server was very attentive, offering us suggestions and options when needed and checked in frequently to make sure we were ok. ( the kind of service you’d like but very rarely get anywhere anymore) Overall 10/10 and will definitely be back- Kids were happy with the kids menu, all the usuals were available“

“First time Golden Bear in Lansing. The food and service was great. However, when I checked my bank account I was charged $9.98 more then the amount on the receipt I received from the register. When I went back the manager was very nice & helpful. She refunded the $. The restaurant receipt had the same amount. I pulled up my bank account & showed her the amount from my bank. We both thought it was so strange! Maybe the register malfunctioned? Again the manager was awesome!“

I brought my grandmother and she wanted to split her meal with someone who wasn't able to come to the restaurant in person, so they brought out half of her meal and waited until we were almost done with the other half freshly made and packaged! Lake perch was great! Not like other restaurants that try to serve ocean perch as lake perch. The Nashville hot chicken strips were a little disappointing they didn't have any heat to them, but the chicken was cooked perfectly and the breading was really good so it made up for it! Mac n cheese was delicious, I was even impressed with the fries! None of them were soggy or over salted! I'm sad I couldn't have tried them sooner!“

“I ate at this Charleys location for the first time in a while and lemme tell you, this place is amazing!!! Seems like new management because the place is ten times better than when I had it before. I ordered a philly steak cheese fries boneless lemon pepper wings and a strawberry lemonade and everything was ON POINT! The service was great too, the manager i believe his name is Jay was really nice and helpful. I noticed they have milkshakes but i had no room for dessert the food is so filling and worth the money, definently want to try that cookies and cream milkshake next time tho :)

Vegetarian options: They have a grilled veggie sandwich that is delicious!

“We always love the food from Cracker Barrel. This last visit was unfortunately not very good. We had to continuously ask for syrup for the pancakes and then when they brought them, they brought the wrong kind as we needed sugar-free by the time they did get it to us pancakes were a little bit better than lukewarm. The eggs were not cooked the way we had asked. The service was very slow and although all this sounds bad, we will of course be going back because most of the time it’s good service and good food. We were at the Cracker Barrel in Merrillville, Indiana.“
