“Tonight we dined at Don Quijote for the first time. We had read several reviews saying the place was great and the food was awesome. It was everything the reviews stated! We went over the top too. Cafe Capuccino to start, Jamon Serrano appetizer, tapas combo platter dinner, the red fish special, flan for dessert with coffee. The couple we dined with was equally pleased and will be back, as will we.“

“Chef Bao and the entire staff made my families Christmas extra special this year. Their Velvet Noel is to die for and they have the best tasting and variety of croissants. We are so fortunate to have this gem of a bakery/patisserie in NW Indiana.“

“We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon and Jordan and Nicole were so welcoming. They helped make suggestions on coffee and tea. The drinks were very well made and Jordan asked if we would like the banana bread we bought warmed up. Such nice personal touches in the coffee shop. Warm and welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended if you are ever in the area.“

“My mother in law and I visited aftermath and we had the absolute best time! Mandy and Alaina were so welcoming, friendly, and attentive. We did wine flights, and also taste tested the slushes and everything was delicious. We didn’t get the food, but saw it come out and everything looked really good! Restaurant was clean, dog friendly. “Delicious smoked meats. Had the Blue Velvet, my daughter had the Jammin Piggy, sides were coles slaw and tater tots, everything was terrific. Could not finish the sandwiches, enough for my daughter to bring home for dinner. Very generous portions. Cannot wait to get back to Valparaiso to visit PSM!“

“12/1/25 I decided to give them a shot and I must say that my experience was truly delightful and I was completely amazed at how fast my food came out I ordered the eggs Benedict and the eggs were poached to perfection this place has the potential to be one of my top spots, for take out I went with the corn chowder soup to enjoy when I got home and after putting it in my microwave sometime later that evening its was definitely worth the wait and had my taste buds dancing next time I'm in Valpo I'm definitely stopping by thank you for such a wonderful experience and I need that recipe...“

“I had not been to a Schoop's in a few years. The food was very good and the waitress was attentive, refilling our drink orders before we asked. The only bad thing was smelling cigarettes when we walked in the door even though smoking is not allowed in the restaurant. Because of this, we sat at a table away from the door“

“We are on vacation at Indiana Dunes and stopped in at Dog Days today after lunch for a treat. Great place, and AMAZING staff! Our kids, ages 5 and 2, changed their minds on what they wanted a couple of times and the two young ladies working were so patient with us as they took our orders. Very clean and a great atmosphere - My kids loved watching the little train overhead. And of course, the ice cream was delicious! Also, they have a family restroom with a changing table, which may not be high on most people’s list but that can be so hard to find in these little specialty shops and as a family with two littles, having those facilities easily available is just a very nice bonus. Highly recommend :)“

“The breakfast selection is enormous and you receive a lot of food for a low price! Many people don't realize that there is a lunch menu and also a dinner menu. I don't know how this restaurant can supply large portions at a good price. They have an all-you-can eat fish dinner on Friday's and they have extended hours until 8pm on Friday and Saturday. We are going to try the Rib special tonigh! P.S. Great waitresses and staff!“

“Normally a great experience with great food. Unfortunately this time, that wasn't the case. Fish sandwich was bland. Could taste the bun and the lettuce more than the fish and the sauce!!!! Same for the butter burger deluxe!! I'm sure this is a rare occurrence. I expect better during my next visit.“
