To start this is a very cute place, nice atmosphere. The staff was really nice. This was our first and probably only time to eat here. The food was very bland. My mom who basically cooks with very little seasonings even said the food was bland. The fries were home style and had no flavor or seasoning. French toast was nothing special and I was looking forward to their own special batter/blend.

Amazing history at this little gem. The building dates back to the early 1900's. It was originally built for some local magicians that wanted a magic shop near the lakefront. Harry Houdini himself supposedly gave a performance here around 1920 before his death on Halloween. The interior design reflects the original "fun-house" magic shop design. The food was delicious and satisfying. The service was a little slow, and maybe they could be a little quicker to offer refills. full review

Probably one of the most disappointing omelettes I have ever had. Nothing in my omelette was tasty. Eggs were undercooked, swiss cheese was sliced and never had a chance to melt. Spinach was canned or frozen and had a fishy taste. My saving Grace was the home fries which once I seasoned with salt and pepper were edible. Server was good and the decor was pleasant. Would not recommend.
