5 Best Ice Cream Shops in Nashville

Iris Garden Downtown Cottages & Suites Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt • $
79 North Van Buren Street, Nashville

“We would ABSOLUTELY stay here again! We stayed here for the eclipse and had a great time! Josie (the owner) couldn't have been more friendly or helpful! 5 stars for customer service! The firepit area was nice, the views from the room upstairs was great, and once we parked the car, and since everything is within walking distance we didn't need to get back in it until we checked out.We thought the beds were a bit too soft, but another review says theirs were too hard. So I guess it's true, you really can't please everyone!Walkability: This is right on the main street of town and all the shops are within walking distance.Noteworthy details: To say that Josie is "amazing" would be an understatement!“

Millers Ice Cream House Inc. Ice Cream Shop • $
61 W Main St, Nashville

“No visit to Nashville is complete until you have visited millers ice cream house. Get your choice of cone or dish, then just try to decide which homemade ice cream to try first, for the second scoop try a second kind and if you dare add a third scoop. I’ve tried almost every flavor they serve and never been left with disappointment. Each flavor seams better than the last. Sit inside and enjoy the air conditioning and refreshing atmosphere. This is my favorite place to take a break before going back visiting other shops.“

“The Chocolate Moose is a locally owned and operated ice cream shop that sells much more than ice cream. The ice cream is homemade with about 16 different flavors. Portions are huge with a small giving you 2 big scoops. I had the Brown County Coffee small cone. The ice cream was sweet and delicious. There was so much ice cream that I couldn't eat it all! Our server was friendly and accommodating. He provided a cup for my granddaughter so she could manage the huge cone. They also serve sandwiches and hot dogs. The all beef hot dogs looked great. They make a variety of specialty coffees, smoothies and teas. Those looked great and I will try next visit. They have a small dining room with tables and sofas and an outdoor patio area with picnic tables. The location in Nashville attracts tourists visiting the historic artist town. They also sell locally roasted Brown County Coffee by the bag. There were about 8 or so different flavors.“
