“A group of us were in town as we are working at some of the distilleries over the bridge in Louisville. We decided to stop in late Tuesday evening and try some of the bourbon and whiskey the New Albany Tavern has to offer. The bartender Kate was attentive and very knowledgeable about their selections of bourbon. We spent a good bit of time talking with her and the server there about what we were in town for and the different distilleries we have been working at throughout our stay here. Both Kate and the server were very friendly and it was nice to see someone behind the bar that has knowledge about the alcohol they serve. Kate was even able to convince us to try True Story, a newer bourbon that they recently got in

Next time we are in town we will be adding New Albany Tavern to our list of restaurants to come back to. And maybe Kate can offer us some more good bourbon options“

Oh, and one MUST NOT forget about the white chocolate mousse - my lawd. I am now a fan of mousse! Beautiful art is available for adoption on the walls. And you can not go wrong with any of the libations. The flight is a STEAL! I can not remember the cocktail names ordered, but one was cherry focused. While the other is made with turmeric greens and gin. De-lish-must! I mean it. Go. Now!!!!“

The truffle fries are absolutely addictive (don’t skip the garlic aioli), and the steak frites are perfectly cooked and full of flavor. “The bar itself is wonderful, great music, atmosphere. But if you’re a girl looking to ride the bull, don’t attempt to if the blonde girl with fluttering fake eyelashes who looks like she hates her job is behind the control center. She didn’t give any girl a chance, she immediately threw them off unless you were one of her friends of course. Everyone should get the same treatment. They also charge a cover charge to get in, which is understandable but it automatically trys to get you to tip 25% for a cover charge…“
