“Asian Fried Chicken and Ramen… and so much more! This was our first time visiting this delicious eatery and will certainly NOT be our last. We made a same-day reservation, was seated immediately and weren’t too close to the fireplace ? We instantly recognized a cohesiveness among the staff that was as well-oiled as Ruth’s Chris, without the haughty flair. The atmosphere was welcoming to all walks of life, with a fun, laid-back mood. Our server, Brooklyn, was nothing short of amazing! We had already decided to sample three different appetizers and recommend ALL of them! The steamed pork buns with hoisin sauce, chicken lettuce wraps with zesty peanut sauce and the mushroom eggrolls with sweet chili sauce were all top-notch bites.Because we’re, admittedly, gluttonous AF, we ventured on to the curry ramen soup and the x-tra hot fried chicken sandwich with bonito fries. The flavor of everything was of the “slap yo’ mama” variety! *Side note, if you happen to be under the influence, the “melting” effect of the bonito flakes will keep you amazed and staring at them until they stop moving*We finished our hour and a half off with a cocktail each from the fully stocked bar and the bread pudding for dessert. Brooklyn not only had ours and other tables inside and a couple tables outside, but she was also behind the bar, stirring, shaking and pouring the best cocktails in town. The bread pudding, for me, wasn’t my favorite as the texture was a little too dense, and I didn’t know it’d have caramel on it. It didn’t stop me from savoring a few bites and enjoying the hell out of my pear-fusion drink (can’t recall the name).READ THE MENU! Had I done so, I could’ve avoided the caramel. For all you “cilantro tastes like soap” people, make sure to heed that warning as well. I would gladly drive the hour-long round-trip again tomorrow for their brunch, but I will instead eat my left-over curry ramen soup and dream of the Saturday or Sunday where I can go back to indulge in Chik’n and Waffles and a drink named after me!Parking: We showed up just in time to take the closest street parking spot.“
“I stopped by Renshoku today after taking a class on Louisville. I placed an order to go, and the food was amazing! We had two orders of the bourbon shoyu and an order to the jfc chicken. Noodles were chewy, broth very flavorful, eggs perfectly cooked and my husband loved the red pepper paste. The jfc chicken is ADDICTING. I had a 30 minute drive home to Indiana, and I loved how they packaged everything to go. The had a seperate slot in the both booths to keep your noodles and toppings from getting soggy!! I was so thankful!!We will definitely be coming back for sure!“
“This place deserves 10 stars!! The food is absolutely amazing! This was nothing like I've ever tasted before. There was a wait to get into this restaurant. However, the smaller the group, the less time you wait. We ordered appetizers, and I got the Spicy Miso Tonkotsu Ramen with Brisket. The bowl looks small, but it was so much food. The broth was so good that I took it home and just added more noodles to it for lunch the next day! Hands down the best Ramem restaurant in Louisville!“
“We had an amazing dinner and are excited to come back and try the ramen!!! Hibachi and boba tea were both great, and our server was awesome and super accommodating of my weird dietary restrictions. Super cute casual atmosphere. This might be one of my new favorite spots!!“
“WARNING! DO NOT get ANY side order because it is NOT worth the money for a few bites. Get the main courses. Great food just VERY disappointed this trip. Thought I would just order the side Salmon without the rice, soup, and vegetables(hibachi dish), but instead only got a tiny square of Salmon. Could have gone elsewhere for a decent meal for $9. ?“
“Probably my favorite restaurant in southern Indiana. It's not much to look at from the outside or inside, but I come for the food, not the ambiance. I can't say enough good things about the flavors. It's always so hard picking between the bibimbap and the bul go gi (I usually pick this one though). The people working here are so friendly too. I just love this place.“
