“The waiting time to take our drinks was long and it was even longer to bring our food, they serve first the tables they arrive a few minutes after us. Food was good but the service definitely was poor. If I come back I'll make sure not be hungry in case I have to wait long time again. Prices are very reasonable.”

“I don't live here, but I'm close. My town (Sturgis, MI) has an abundance of Mexican restaurants, but I do believe the 20 min drive here to Azteca is worth it. The food was excellent, even if slightly spicier than I prefer. The menu is large (I ate #71 and there were still pages left in the menu) and if you can't find something you would like, then you don't care for Mexican food. Prices seemed to be in an average range even if the food was above average. It seemed to be real family friendly in that I saw several from infant to teen with adults.I will be back, and I will recommend it to others in my area.”

“Plenty to watch on TV if that is a thing you enjoy doing.Food is excellent. Ordered a mushroom sausage pizza with my brother which didn't disappoint. Just the right toppings & the crust in my opinion was a 9 out of 10.Fantastic pizza.I haven't been to this place since pre Covid & it didn't disappoint on this out of season calmer Saturday night of which during lake season is a "mad house"After 9pm until close.Everything food related i saw come out to other tables were proportioned to not leave hungry & well presented on the plate.On this night it was towards upscale food in a sports bar environment which I feel hits the largest percentage of people from all walks of life & ages.Definitely a good place to grab a beverage, order food & watch a game on TV or spend time with friends. Our server Paige was friendly, took care of our order timely & kept checking in on us while having a large group of 10 at one table drinking & taking a large percentage of her available time while also having 2 other tables plus ours.Owners/Owner has done a great job with exterior which is very inviting. Of course, there is NEVER enough parking in season, but in the off season.We found a spot right up front.You should have a great dining experience if you have never been there in my opinion & if a drinker, they have you covered because, after all.THIS IS THE LAKE!”

“They have one of the best gluten free/cauliflower crust pizzas I have had. Their sauce is amazing, toppings are great quality and plentiful. The garlic butter is straight from heaven. It is one of our favorite places to go on our lake weekends and are planning to get it this winter. Everyone is so nice here, treats you like a neighbor, just so friendly.”

“Thiss place is great. Think all the ice creams are all hand made. You can really taste the quality in the ingredients. I got some kind of bourbon pecan and you could really taste the bourbon flavor. Been there several times haven't been disappointed yet. They sell chocolates as well those were worth trying.”

“This a nice setting on the lake. Their selection of bourbon is one of the best that I have seen. They have your standard bourbons as well as some nice allocated bourbons. The food was good but not amazing. Service seemed a little cold as the bar tender seemed to not be too concerned about our presence. Overall you need to visit this place and check out the bourbons. Maybe we just had an off night for the service.”

“We got our pizza to go. It was hot and delicious. The cheesecake they sell was also really good. The prices are reasonable and staff was very friendly. Our order was ready very quickly.Parking: There isn't a lot of parking but the parking is adequate for the amount of dining space.”

“I’m not the skinniest guy on earth. I know my food and what tastes good. Their pizza is alright but what you want to get is one of their grinders. Probably one of the best you’ll ever have. Plus the girl who made it was super nice and fast to make it (im sorry I didn’t have cash for a tip!!! Tell your manager I say you should get a raise for how awesome you make grinders!) Only reason 4 out of 5 and not 5 out of 5 is because of the pizza, which it’s alright but I prefer Pizza King still.”

“Spontaneous road trip to Michigan led us to this charming lake front bistro. We were greeted with a smile, and "find a seat." As we made our way to the back by the window to take in the view of Lake James, we were happily distracted by the nautical ambiance. We perused the surprisingly high end menu, but reasonable pricing and I settled on the Cuban. It was piled high with a variety of meats and each bite was terrific. My husband is vegan and was able to find a delicious flatbread to enjoy. The toppings could have been more, but the flavor was there. The only miniscule complaint I have or rather suggest, is to move the large trash can that was on the porch imparing our view of the lake.Bravo Waterfront Bistro ?”
