“We had Carey cater the desserts for our wedding and everything was delicious! We had cupcakes, cookies, chocolate dipped strawberries, and some truffles. Everything was a hit with our guests and we loved all of it! Personal favorite was her snickerdoodle cake flavor, which we ended up doing for our personal wedding cake. “This was the Popeyes at the Ernie Pyle stop on the Indiana Toll Road. Service at the counter was very slow and at least half of the items on the menu screen were not available. Some of the people waiting in line started ranting about being disrespected by the long wait and thought dropping some f-bombs would help. On the positive side, the chicken sandwich and fries were excellent. The chicken was juicy and hot and the fries were fresh and plentiful. Food was great and almost made up for the long wait.”

“My wife and I enjoyed a drink and a meal before a Thursday evening concert at the nearby Bluegate Theater. The Bang Bang Shrimp salad was fantastic and my wife enjoyed her Fish/Fries basket. Unless you are a huge eater, the lunch sized shrimp salad was quite large and more than enough to satisfy my appetite. The place was packed and loud. Our drinks took a bit to arrive but that was due to the busyness. I had a double Eagle Rare bourbon and my wife had a Tito's and Tonic, both reasonably priced ($15 and $7). I can never get Eagle Rare any longer so I was pleased to see it here. We will definitely stop here again when we are in the area.”

“Five Lakes Sturgis is a great family/friendly place to get coffee and coffee drinks. The atmosphere is always on point, drinks are made with 99.9% accuracy but if it is made wrong, they will make it right. My wife and I ordered Raspberry White Chocolate Mochas with Oat milk (a lot easier on lactose free bellies) and got all the way over to church in Mishawaka before realizing it was Regular Milk, oh boy. Thank you for making it right even though we had zero aspirations of anything in return except making sure it was known so it didn't happen this time to us. P.s. we were going to return no matter what, y'all are the best.Dietary restrictions: Lactose Free Options, no Gluten-Free besides pre-packaged bars”

“The food was GREAT ! I ordered tacos (Carne Asada?). My partner got a steak burrito. My daughter got a kids menu quesadilla. We got chips with the blended salsa. I also requested a bowl of pico de gallo to use with my chips as well as on my tacos.Had to take some of the food to go as I could not finish all three tacos that came with my taco meal.The lighting was dim and it was a bit cold inside. Aside for those two things I really liked this restaurant.The waitress was energetic, sweet and understanding (my little couldn't decide what she wanted).*I did have a hair in one of my tacos. Even with this occurrence I would go again. I would just keep a closer eye before taking a bite ??”

“Holy Cow, I've been working down here for 5 months and I just now found this place... I have totally been missing out!!! I tried 3 things on the menu and they were all amazing. (el Pastor, Carne Asada and Pollo) the lady who took my take out order was awesome and very helpful. The food came out quickly and man was it delicious!!!!!!!! Only bummer, no Tamales, but the Quality of the food made up for it! Dine in is a little dated but man that food is awesome!! “Update: The last couple times we were there the dinner rolls were so dry and hard you couldn't even eat them. Went up and asked for a different one today but it was as bad as the first. “Came into town and was looking forward to trying out the newly opened Blind Island Brewery. I dined with my cousin and his wife. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and pleasantly surprised with good food. I was also able to indulge in their own Chocolate Ale which was delicious. I can easily see this place becoming a local staple for many years to come. I think one of the best paths forward is providing Crowlers to carry out guests as well as dine in customers. I think they are doing everything right at this point. Focusing in on providing a limited menu but doing it well. I had the fish and chips and thought it was excellent. The fries were as good as any that I have tasted. Looking forward to tasting some of their smoked meat options in the future too. Keep doing what you’re doing by not growing too fast and build the customer base into the summer. I can only imagine that people will flock as as the months grow warmer.”
