“The service here was great! The food was excellent! Definitely coming back! We sat at the bar and watched the chef cook and it was so cool to watch. The entree had just the right acidity along with the color and the presentation was exceptional! I highly recommend them.“

“We’ve been a few times and service is always extremely friendly and consistent! If it’s a little slow it’s because it’s busy and the kitchen/bar is slammed, no fault of service. Atmosphere is unique and a great use of this industrial space.
Drinks are always delish and pack a punch, worth the price! They definitely get that right which is good for a distillery.
As far as the food goes, the menu is trying to reinvent the wheel. They manage to put an alcohol twist in nearly every dish, when they that don’t need it. For example, it would be nice to have garlic mashed potatoes without a sweet brandy gravy :) Just tastes kinda icky.
However to end on a positive note: Sunday brunch and the fried chicken/biscuits and gravy is one of the best breakfast meals I’ve ever had!!! If they put a fried chicken sammie on their daily menu, I’d consider going more often. I’ll be sticking to their fabulous Sunday brunch instead of going for dinner :)“

“Celebrated a friends birthday there last night and had an amazing dinner! The entrée of braised short ribs melted in my mouth and banoffee pie could not be beat for dessert!“

“Been eating here for years and recommending them for years if you want the best burger in Chesteron/Porter area. Some other favorites are the bacon wrapped poppers, steak or chicken flatbread, soups, and the only place I know that still has homemade pub chips. Just had my first ever minor issue with a cook on burgers and the owner addressed it and made it right. I am looking forward to their new bi-weekly specials to try some new items. “We were in town for a graduation. We did not have a reservation, and they found room for the five of us. The service was excellent. The food was delicious. The cocktails were fun and tasty. My husband doesn't like mac and cheese. He ate half of mine along with his own dinner. Everyone at the table tried my mac and cheese dinner I ordered and loved it. Next time, I'm saying hands off.“

“My boyfriend and I tried this place for the 1st time. Everything was amazing... drinks, apps and dinner. We had scallops for our app, prob best cooked scallops I have ever had. I had the filet and my boyfriend had the Mahi. Our server Tony was great! Great service and food!“

“Pikk’s Tavern might just be the best spot in Valparaiso. Went there tonight for my birthday and in July for my wife’s birthday. Jay was there both of those times and he’s so nice and welcoming. Natalie was our server this last time and she was the bomb as well. This place got me hooked on mules and when we returned tonight I seen they had an apple pie mule on the menu that I had to try. 10/10 that drink was absolutely amazing, I had to have a couple. I had the open faced steak sandwich with fries and my wife had the filet. They always bring out their signature steak sauce that’s made in house. At first I was skeptical because a good steak doesn’t need a steak sauce and this one definitely didn’t either. Juicy, cooked to perfection and flavorful. Well their steak sauce just turns it all up a notch. It’s good on the steak, fries or whatever else you want to dip or douse it in. Both times we’ve been there they’ve substituted our birthday desert for us as we’re not the biggest cake fans. They let us get the brownie and it is seriously the best end cap to dinner. We will be going here again and again for our special nights out as not only are the food and drinks delicious but the atmosphere makes you feel like you’ve stepped back in time but in a very homey way.“
