“Danny Boy Draft Works, located just off Notre Dame Campus in South Bend, stands as a remarkable testament to the craft of brewing, offering patrons a delightful exploration of flavors and styles. Their own brewed beer is nothing short of phenomenal, showcasing a mastery over the art that is immediately apparent from the first sip. The selection is broad, catering to a wide range of palates, ensuring that every visitor finds something to love. Not to be overshadowed, their mixed drinks and bourbon selection are equally impressive, providing options for those who might prefer something other than beer. The inclusion of a handful of guest taps is a thoughtful touch, extending the variety and allowing guests to sample beers from other brewers, thereby embracing the community spirit of craft brewing. But Danny Boy Draft Works isn't just about the drinks; their food menu complements the beverages perfectly. The pizza is amazing, with just the right balance of ingredients on a perfectly cooked crust. The wings, sandwiches, and salads are equally commendable, each dish prepared with care and delivering flavors that elevate the dining experience.Whether you're a Notre Dame student, a local, or just passing through South Bend, Danny Boy Draft Works offers an inviting atmosphere where one can enjoy expertly crafted beverages and delightful dishes. Studebaker Brewing Co. Brewery • $$
620 W Washington St, South Bend

“Ryan was awesome. His ability to craft beers is spot on. Love trying new breweries wherever we go and his selection was the best I have tried. He is definitely a Master Brewer! Wish he was in Indianapolis where we live. My favorite was Sceptre and my husband loved the Champion. The Manta Ray was yummy too. Ohh so many to choose from.“

Bare Hands Brewery Brewery • $$
12804 Sandy Ct, Granger - 9.03 miles

“Good beer, vibe is not for everyone. They've gone through a lot of staff over the years, but generally they are all friendly. Sometimes I do feel like they need an extra person working the bar which they dont always have. Building itself is honestly not really a place I would want to hang out. Low ceilings, kind of dingy, walls are this weird light orange color, layout is awkward, and it gets weirdly quiet at times. It's a place for locals, but to me it's missing that local "charm".“

“This place has great drinks, people, and service! The owner is so great and kind! I even forgot my purse there without realizing and contacted them when I realized. They were quick to respond and the owner and general manager came in on their day off to make sure I retrieved my purse promptly! They truly care about their customers during hours and off the clock. Highly recommend !“

“I usually don't Yelp- and I'm sure most reviews are from those people generally discontent or prone to complaints regardless of service. Which is why I wanted to make sure I left a positive note for the outstanding service I received from my server, I believe her name was Corinnia. (There's no way I spelled that correctly). It was our first trip there in at least 10 years. As far as gastro pubs go, evil Czechs menu and atmosphere were just fine- even above average. But the service we received made us not only want to come back, but made it so the Czech will now be in our bi-weekly restaurant rotation. Something as simple and knowing your server enjoys her job, enjoys people, and enjoys being OF service in general........that's really all we look for when we go out right? If you find yourself in Mishawaka area for lunch or dinner- hope to get Corinnia as your server. You'll enjoy your experience.“
