“Fresh dried herbs, products without preservatives, fresh baked goods, including my favorite which I have never seen anywhere else (black walnut chocolate chip cookies) Sommherrs Bakery is worth a check out. They are closed on Mondays. Also worthy on note the ladies who run the bakery are lovely, friendly people.“
“We were in Bloomington to visit family and our favorite breakfast spot had poor reviews over the past year since we had been there so I took to TA to find a non-chain place. Stumbled across this place and so glad we gave them a chance! We had a party of 11 with 5 of them children. They were very accommodating. Our server was pleasant and the owner spoke to us when she arrived. They have a big basket of crayons and coloring books for the children. We all enjoyed our meals. The portions are large and very tasty. Most of the party had the Hoosier Haystack, but I had the Rooster Scramble which was delicious. A side cinnamon bun is a must!! This will definitely be our go to breakfast spot when we are in Bloomington!!“

When there are so many other rave reviews for this place, do you think you accomplish anything with your passive aggressiveness? I've worked in this bakery from its very beginning and love it. From the atmosphere to the attitude (except for grumps like Ben) to -most especially- the FOOD. She has grown this place to a Bloomington hotspot. And despite working there, I STILL enjoy eating here on my free time! She is in such demand that we had to extend our brunch hours to the entire weekend and we still sell out every time! Do yourselves a favor and stop by, pick ANY pastry and experience for yourselves why you cannot just "go next door to Baked" to enjoy such delicacies.“
